This property is truly a walk-to-the-beach home. Stand in the street in front of the house, turn to your right, and the Pacific Ocean beckons you -- 100 steps away. In addition, there are several cafes in the neighborhood as well as small markets. 6 blocks will take you to the center of La Penita where you will find shops, markets, banks, restaurants and bars - just about anything you need. Kayak and other beach equipment rentals right down the street. The home itself is a one bedroom with a queen bed, one bathroom unit with a great private terrace. Private entrance to your second floor home! A full kitchen allows you to eat in whenever you like but you are still close enough to town to head in to one of the outstanding cafes and restaurants. A short walk down the beach will take you there in minutes. Or purchase tamales and tortillas from the street vendors and shops in the neighborhood. A large bathroom, built-in wardrobe, and a really roomy living space make this the perfect home base while you explore all that Riviera Nayarit has to offer: colonial buildings in nearby towns, surfing in Sayulita, jet-skiing, mountain drives, markets, ruins, hot springs, volcanos, and miles and miles of beach. You can easily explore the other towns in the area - San Pancho, Rincon de Guaybitos, Los Ayala, and Lo de Marcos. You will be about an hour from Playa las Tortugas and the turtle camp there. San Blas is another hour beyond. All linens and towels are supplied (including beach towels). I have tried to equip the home with everything you will need - basic spices, cooking oil, bottled water, etc.) but if there is anything else you require, just ask. The property has two rental units as well as the owner's home. They all share a courtyard and garden as well as a pool. Beach chairs also available for guests. You will have a fully furnished, private unit with your own private terrace. Entrance to your home is off-street through the shared gardens and courtyard, next to the pool. All entries are number coded so no keys to keep track of! I live here as well, I am available should you need anything. There are several ways to walk to El Centro - La Penita's downtown. Two take you several blocks through the colonias, or neighborhoods, of town. The shortest path is along the beach. 5 minutes and you're there! If you want to go farther afield or do a little sightseeing, cabs are plentiful and cheap. I can also recommend several tour operators as well as airport pickup/drop offs. Guests must sign a rental agreement prior to reservation being confirmed and accepted.
