The Alpine Room is on the second floor and is the smallest room but very cozy and comfortable. The bed is a king size bed. This room has a full private bath, desk, a refrigerator, a coffee pot and a beautiful view of the lake. Max capacity 2. As a guest here at our bed and breakfast, you can enjoy the gorgeous lake view, take a kayak or canoe across the lake… or relax and soak in a comfortable hot tub on the deck overlooking the lake. In addition, we offer a laundry room for your use between 4:00pm and 8:45pm each evening free of charge. The owners of the B&B do live in the home year round, for this reason we do reserve the ground floor of the house for them. Jessica (the host of the home) is available 24/7 during your stay upon request. We are located on a quiet road on the back side of Auke Lake. There are several homes situated on the lake. We do have our neighbors driveway right next to ours. However, The homes are separated with huge trees to give everyone privacy. We would recommend renting a car for your time in Juneau. We are close to a bus stop as but it does cater more to locals getting to and from work. Therefore it won't take you to some places you may desire to explore. It will take you to downtown Juneau and Mendenhall Glacier. Taxi's are available but expensive. Uber and Lyft are available to use too. This room is located near the laundry room and the stairs that lead to the guest entrance for all the rooms. At one point the guests are at level with one window that looks into the room. We do have curtains for the windows. The ground floor of the home is reserved for the owners of the BnB. Breakfast is available 7am-3pm, May through September. We are temporarily suspending our communal group breakfast. We have partnered with a local restaurant to provide all of our guests with breakfast. You will find vouchers in your room. Breakfast is NOT provided October-May. The restaurant is a little less than a mile from our home. You can walk but there is also Uber, Lyft and Juneau Taxi available to take you if you don’t have a car. We highly recommend renting a car for the best experience for exploring Juneau. Especially for where we are located. There isn’t anything within a short walking distance and everything in Juneau is spread out through our small city.
