Fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves at our beach studio - 2 miles to Muir Woods, 14 miles to SF, 30 miles to the Wine Country. Relax on the patio with peekaboo views of the ocean and mountains. A short stroll to the beach to relax on the sand with our beach towels and chairs or explore the rocky crevices. At low tide you'll find mussels, sea anemones and maybe even a starfish! Explore redwood trees at Muir Woods, eat brunch at the Pelican Inn or hike trails just steps from your door. Small and cozy 140 sq. ft. one-room studio (about the size of a hotel room). The studio has its own private entrance that is accessed from a long staircase along the side of our house. Includes kitchen area and bistro table, Keurig coffee maker with complimentary coffee, creamer, and sugar, electric tea kettle, blender, stainless steel mini refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, sink, microwave, toaster oven, plates, bowls, utensils, wine glasses, and corkscrew. (NOTE: There is NO oven/stovetop.) Bathroom includes a vanity sink, toilet, and shower. The studio has a platform bed with a memory foam queen size mattress. Bed linens, comforter, pillows, bath and beach towels, shampoo and soap are provided. There's also a portable heater if it gets chilly out. There’s a walk-out patio with a bistro table and benches for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine with peekaboo views of the beach, ocean, and mountains and the sound of crashing waves! The guest studio is on the ground floor of the main house. There is a long staircase along the side of the house to reach the studio’s private separate entrance. No one will be there to check you in or out, but we're happy to answer any questions or provide recommendations! The Muir Beach community consists of 150 homes along the beautiful California coast in Golden Gate National Recreation Area, just steps from the beach and countless hiking/biking trails. Muir Beach is only 14 miles from San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge, but it feels like another world! Stroll to the beach, world-class hiking/biking trails, and the Pelican Inn. Explore the majestic redwood trees in Muir Woods or drive to Sausalito for a romantic dinner and quaint shopping. Walk to the beach, world-class hiking/biking trails, the Pelican Inn, Zen Center, Slide Ranch, and close drive or long walk to Muir Woods. Forgot to bring something? There's a 7-11 convenience store just 5 miles away and several large grocery stores within 6 miles. Muir Beach is located inside a national park, which means WIFI CAN BE UNRELIABLE AND CELL PHONE COVERAGE CAN BE ERRATIC, depending on your service provider. If you absolutely must have reliable WFi access, then you probably don't want to stay in Muir Beach as it could be an unplugged experience. We try to make the best of it and hope you will too!
