Luxurious self-catered tented accommodation with all the home comforts.  2 comfortable en-suite sleeping tents and a mess tent with dining, sitting and kitchen area.  Stylishly designed with up-cycled shipping palettes furniture and powered by solar: this sustainable, self-catered accommodation takes you off the grid.  Each tent sleeps 3 people and the glamp is nestled into our Acacia forest, overlooking the Ecoscapes wildlife sanctuary which is teaming with game. Located on an organic farm The central mess tent is the hub of the glamp, with comfortable chairs set around a fireplace and the dining and kitchen area adjacent. The kitchen is well equipped. The glamp runs on solar and the cooker is gas, taking you off the grid. Each sleeping tent has 2 beds, that can become a double bed, and a sofa bed. The outdoor seating circle is the perfect place to sit around the fire and have a BBQ or enjoy game viewing. Our accommodation at Ecoscapes is perfectly suited to those people looking for a quiet and peaceful break. We do not allow parties and load noise as there are other accommodation facilities on the property. We also have Ecoscapes House on the property, which you can book separately if you need more accommodation. Ecoscapes House accommodates 8 guests. We have a strict maximum of 6 guests at Ecoscapes Glamping. No parties are allowed and no outside guests are allowed unless by prior agreement with the owner. No load music or noise are allowed. This is a property with multiple accommodation units so please be considerate of others and do not disturb the other guests with noise or intrusion into their spaces. The glamp is located on an organic farm and you are free to roam around and enjoy it. We offer horse riding and guided walks in our private wildlife sanctuary for a fee. You can take a boat ride from our jetty by appointment. Our accommodation manager is available to help you during your stay. The host will not be available during your stay but the accommodation manager will be available to give you assistance. You can reach the host by at any time by phone or via the Airbnb app. Lake Naivasha, in the heart of the Great Rift Valley, is renowned for its spectacular bird life with over 350 different species. Being a fresh water lake it is ideal for a range of water sports from fishing to water skiing. Other attractions include climbing Mt. Longonot, Golfing at the Great Rift Valley Lodge, game viewing and rock climbing in Hell’s gate, viewing flamingoes on the nearby Oloidien and Crater Lakes, visiting show case flower farms and the geothermal plant at Ol Karia. You can take boat cruises around the lake bird and hippo watching from our jetty or walk amongst the game on our own private game sanctuary. Your days can be as action packed or as relaxing as you want them to be. The lake has a surface area of 139 square kilometers and an average depth of 6 meters. It is stocked with black bass , tilapia and carp and there is a thriving fishing industry around the lake. The lake is at the highest elevation of the Kenya Rift Valley at 1890 meters (6200 feet) so the days are warm and the nights are pleasantly chilly. The Lake Naivasha Riparian Association received the Ramsar Wetland Conservation Award for its conservation efforts regarding the lake which is a renowned Ramsar site. Ecoscapes Glamping is approximately two to two and a half hours drive from Nairobi, 45 minutes from the Moi South Lake turn off or the 40 minutes on Moi North Lake Road. Please be advised that the last 6-8km of road, either way, after the tarmac ends is a dirt road which requires a car with good clearance as it's currently in bad condition. There is a shop and restaurant 8km away at Kongoni and a fuel station opposite Great Rift Valley Lodge. Green Park golf course is a 20 minute drive away on the Moi North Lake Road where there is also a shop and restaurant. Hells Gate and Eburru Forest are great day trips from Ecoscapes. If you want to have your food cooked for you then let us know 2 days in advance so we can arrange a cook at an extra fee. Let us know before the day of arrival if you want single beds or double beds, we can arrange either. There is a daily cleaner who will do your washing up and clean your rooms, included in the price. The glamp operates on solar so please do not use irons, hair dryers, electric razors or other items that consume a lot of power. Turn lights off when you exit rooms to save power. Be conservative with hot water usage. We have other rental accommodation nearby so please be considerate with noise and do not enter their living space which is clearly defined. The pool on the property is not available to glamp guests. The glamp is near Lake Naivasha so mosquitos can be a problem so bring mosquito repellent just in case. The tents have netting to keep out insects if they are zipped up. The glamp is located within an electric fence to keep out the animals and we have good day and night security. You are not allowed to go out of the electric fence without a guide as there are dangerous buffalo and hippo in the wildlife sanctuary.
