(Bradt Travel Guide) The villa is beautifully situated on Dominica's NE coast, with extraordinary views, direct access to a lovely beach and continuous, cooling breezes. The villa’s design highlights the extraordinary views, while taking maximum advantage of the cooling effect of the continuous tradewinds from the east. The villa’s open design coupled with extensive verandah space create an environment in which indoors and outdoors merge, providing extensive outdoor space shaded from the tropical sun. We have worked with Dominican artisans and craftspeople to create a unique and very special home. Guests have access to their bedroom and all common areas on the ground and upper floor. The basement is a work area, and It is the base of operations for our housekeeper, Isaline. She can do wash as well as maintain the villa's comfort and cleanliness. We are available via email at any time. Our caretaker, Sherlon, is based in the basement through the night. The villa and its verandahs present vistas which will never be forgotten, looking up the spectacular northeast coast of Dominica to Morne aux Diables and to the dramatic French islands of les Saintes, Guadeloupe and Marie-Galante. Take in the sunset over Dominica’s volcanic tip from our observation tower while enjoying a rum punch made with fresh fruit juices from the property and the fine rums from Dominica or the French islands. It truly doesn’t get much better than this! Most guests rent a vehicle for most or all of their stay, but a local bus stop is just a 5 minute walk from the villa. One of Dominica's best beaches, Pointe Baptiste, is a 3 minute walk down a lovely trail at the edge of our property. Housekeeping services are typically available Mon-Fri, from 9-3 pm. Isaline is available for limited meal preparation at additional cost as detailed on our website.
