True beach living — as close as you can get to the ocean. Our two-bedroom beachfront flat offers spacious, gracious indoor-outdoor beach living at its best. Every major room has oversized screened french doors that open onto the great tropical outdoors, to let in the sea air during the day.Close the screens at night to keep the bugs out, as you wish. With two full baths, a large, full kitchen and both indoor and outdoor living areas, you'll have plenty of room, almost all of it ocean view. The airy 1150 square foot downtairs two bedroom flat is built for both beauty and comfort, with hand-crafted tropical wood windows and furniture, polished cement and sea stone details, and minimal clutter. The flat offers: • A large ocean view master bedroom with a king-size foam bed, built-in polished cement bookshelves and writing desk / vanity and huge en-suite master bath and dressing room. • Comfy garden bedroom looking out on our tropical gardens and fountain (two twins or one king) • Full guest bath across from garden bedroom • Spacious open plan, ocean-view full kitchen with a 6-burner gas stove, full oven, full size fridge, large pantry, and breakfast bar that gives onto the indoor living room • Indoor living area with great ocean views • Covered outdoor ocean view patio living and dining area just steps from the sand (sea-gazing hammock included) • Easy access to the plunge pool, sun deck and garden • Just steps from sand and sea The Casa Oasis Troncones downstairs beachfront flat boasts a spacious outdoor living area with dining table and large comfy L-shaped couch — with great views of the ocean and the beach heading South. Keep an eye on the swell, whale watch, enjoy the sunset, and/or frolic in the pool — all from your own outdoor living room. The space has two high-speed ceiling fans for maximum comfort (in case you need them—there’s always an ocean breeze). This is true beach living. At Casa Oasis, we’re serious nature lovers, which is why we created our vacation rental on this pristine, nearly virgin corner of Troncones beach. The practically private stretch of sand in front of the house is habitat to sea turtles, egrets, cranes, pelicans and hundreds of other birds, iguanas, vultures, skunks, and even the occasional crocodile. It doesn’t get much better than stepping out of the comfort of Casa Oasis and into this natural paradise…Except maybe coming home, after a long day of sun, sand and sea, to its domestic comforts—like a clean, airy, fully-screened bedroom with a huge, comfy bed, soft cotton sheets, and lovingly crafted towel art which reminds us of the wonders waiting just outside. Location, location, location. We found the perfect balance right on this spot. (Well, first we fell in love with the best swimming beach in town, and then we got lucky and found a property right in front of it.) At the quiet end of Troncones' only purely residential sandy beach, right before the rocks begin, Casa Oasis offers a ton of privacy and (as we said) the best sandy swimming beach*, perfect for boogie boarding (and surfing, if you're good — the break is too shallow for beginners.) And yet, since we're only about a mile from the village, we're far closer to shops and restaurants than the many rentals further North. * Occasionally (usually in deep summer), the waves get huge and can take the sand away, uncovering rocks in places on the ocean's edge. But most of the time, it's smooth sand all the way out. We built Casa Oasis as close to the ocean as the law would allow. (Most Troncones properties are built towards the back of their properties, but we wanted a full-on beach experience, and the views that come with it.) And, as we mentioned above, Casa Oasis is located on a very sweet spot. At the end of Troncones only purely residential sandy beach, right before the rocky coves begin, it's so quiet all one hears is nature. We also have a variety of oceanscapes to choose from for our long beach walks, and (best of all) the best sandy swimming hole in town right out front (Why we built here on this spot the first blissful times spent lolling in the sandy swimming spot out front before we decided to buy.) There's a shared beachfront plunge pool with sun patio, an old-school barbecue (and plenty of driftwood), as well as our lush tropical gardens. - Kids need to be sensitive to noise levels / other guests in all shared spaces. I am not on the property all the time, but I or our on-site manager are reachable via message. Our housekeeper/manager and gardener are there 3-4 days a week, keeping everything beautiful. Due to COVID, we have had to cut down housekeeping service to twice a week or once every 3-4 days (full cleaning, fresh sheets and towels). If you would rather not have anyone come in at all, just let us know. REQUESTING CLEANING: To have your flat cleaned, please arrange a day with Karina, then text her with a departure time (by noon, at the latest) and put out the sign then go out and play for at least three hours. This will give us time to air out the flat before and after a thorough cleaning and disinfecting. Tips are customary in Mexico and they mean a lot to our staff, especially during a pandemic. This is why we do not charge much of a cleaning fee, even though we provide full housekeeping twice a week. Please tip generously if you feel our staff took care of you. We've been in the hospitality industry for 20 years, so we're pretty good at making sure our guests are well taken care of. POOL HOURS: The pool in front of the Beach House flat is shared, but only between 11am and 7 pm, in order to give guests of this flat privacy. Guests in the downstairs Beach House have private use of the pool after hours (as long as you respect quiet time.) In the early mornings several days a week, we perform pool maintenance, so it's best to let it sit a while. We are on the quiet end of the quietest sandy swimming beach in Troncones. Unlike the main beach, with its hotels and restaurants, ours is mainly residential and almost always practically empty. Car rental is an option if you want to explore the area/surf breaks. But if it's a pure beach life experience you're after, we can help you book an airport/grocery ride and you can walk or ride rented bikes or take cheap cabs everywhere. It's about a 10 minute tropical stroll to the nearest restaurant, and about 5 minutes more to "downtown." SEASONAL BEACH VARIATIONS: The beach is always sandy and swimmable in high season. During summer, big surf swells can scoop out beach sand, uncovering a few big rocks. Gorgeous summer storms in that time, as well. UNITS AND PRIVACY/NOISE There are three units on the compound. There is plenty of space between these units for your peace and privacy. SHARED SPACES: There are no shared indoor areas. The only shared spaces are the pool, sun patio, BBQ, and gardens. INTERNET, ETC: REAL LIFE IN THE THIRD WORLD On working online in Mexico: Bring Patience and your eye for beauty WE NOW HAVE DECENT INTERNET! We have 3 separate installations, just in case, and we pay for 30-50 MPBS. BUT IT'S STILL MEXICO, so stuff sometimes happens. We have upgraded our internet speeds and our (3) installations, since it is finally possible to do so out in our time-warp village. Still, we cannot always guarantee fast internet. We are in a developing nation AND in the tropics AND in a tiny village. (Entropy x 3!) Things happen everywhere, but even more so down here. The climate is really hard on all things electrical, and telecom maintenance is sporadic, at best. So things happen. Be prepared for things to happen. Maybe the lights go out for a bit, or the internet flickers, or even goes blank. It may happen! And (be prepared) you may be suddenly ON VACATION on a glorious beach. Let us know, and let us work on it. Meanwhile, please remember why you're really in Troncones and go out and have some fun while we fix it. One doesn't travel to a gorgeous tropical beach for the internet speeds. You have that at home! And we do have decent internet (they're promising between 30-50mbps) AND a whole lot of other amazing things you definitely won't find at home. At Casa Oasis, we will always do our best to control what we can, to make sure that things work and that you're comfortable, but we cannot control the utilities or the weather. We have more control over the weather than over the giant Mexican telecommunication monopolies. Due to a lack of competition, lower standards of corporate service and responsibility are standard in Mexico— though things are improving! So please balance your expectations. Maybe try Switzerland if you want perfect high speed internet. But, if you want a glorious world-class, nearly empty beach right out front, and surf spots galore, and the freshest fish and fruit ever, and lovely, friendly, laid back people, and if you want to prioritize beach frolics over efficiency, this may be the gorgeous, peaceful spot for you.
