Love coffee and peace and quiet? Look no further! The Nkilaba Coffee Guestroom is located in a quiet neighborhood of bustling Ntinda. The coffee shop is open 7am to 5pm six days a week, so your perfect cuppa and / or workspace is right outside your door. Supermarkets, local markets, and restaurants are a 5 minute walk away. A small and simple room with a full bed and attached private full bathroom. There is another hide-away full mattress for a second guest, if needed. Nothing fancy, but clean and quiet, and perfect for a short work (or play) stay. The hosts (Andrea and Isaac) live on the property in a separate stand-alone home. The Guestroom is the middle room in a series of 4 individually secured rooms. The Guestroom and main house share a large patio with the coffee shop's seating, wi-fi, and electricity. In addition to their own private room with attached full bathroom, guests will have access to the laundry machine (and drying lines) and the shared coffee shop space. Sorry - no access to the family kitchen, but we can help you order food for delivery or find a good restaurant. We are happy to chat or give you space! Isaac and our private security guard / house cleaner / general support staff, who lives on site, are generally available during the day. We will share our phone numbers and email upon booking. The neighborhood is unique in the Kampala area for being (mostly) quiet and peaceful. Come 5pm, there are many neighbors out for an evening stroll. Its a great area for runners, with fairly quiet streets and lots of rolling hills. Kampala offers all methods of transport! Rideshares like Uber are here. If you're a bit braver, you can call a motorcycle taxi (boda). There's also busses, in addition to rental cars. A friendly, well-trained dog lives on the property and will likely greet you with enthusiasm upon your arrival. A rooster also lives on the property, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper!
