Great for staying in and disconnect from the city but if you feel adventurous you can go hiking, visit coffee plantations such as Cafe Nativo, Hacienda San Pedro and Hacienda Tres Picachos; rivers, La Piedra Escrita. Great local cuisine restaurants at affordable prices near the house Our home have a main room with a queen bed, closet with plenty of space and a/c. The second room have one bunk bed, one single bed and a play pen upon request. In the living room there is a sectional sofa, one bean bag; also there is 1 air mattress if needed. There's a TV with DVD & WiFi. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove/oven, microwave oven, espresso machine, waffle maker, toaster and refrigerator. The terrain is big enough to sleep outdoors, camping style. There is a hammock and table for 4 to enjoy eating outdoors. The house is located on Jayuya Abajo and is near bakeries, restaurants, and 5-8 minutes to downtown. Please know that Jayuya have 3 pharmacies, all near the house but none of them are open on Sundays. You can drive 15 minutes to El Cemí Museum, Casa Canales Museum, La Piedra Escrita and Hacienda San Pedro. Other coffee plantations such as Tres Picachos and Cafe Nativo are within a short drive too. You can hike Cerro Puntita, Tres Picachos and visit Cerro Maravillas. There are many rivers and breathtaking sceneries all around town. Local cuisine is great and affordable. We're available to give directions, suggestions of places to eat and visit and be of help if any issues arise during your stay; however when you are at the house you will have all the privacy and comfort as if you were on your own home. If you need a local tour guide, let us know and we will be happy to recommend one. The neighborhood is pretty with friendly neighbors just as every town of the island. Our house have a private entrance with gate and you will have no neighbors. It's very private and peaceful. Sometimes on the weekends you could hear some noises from the street but nothing to worry about. As most places outside the metropolitan area, you will need a car to get around and GPS is recommended. Although we not allow smoking inside the house; you can smoke outside the property on the terrace or patio.
