Villa Solaire is located a short walk from Secret Harbor, with your own private path to the white sand beach below. You are also located a 15 min walk or a 3-minute drive to the town of Red Hook with great shopping and world class dining at restaurants such as The Easterly, Pesce Italian, RAW Sushi Bar, and the XO. Activities include beach hopping, boat charters, snorkeling, diving, sea kayaking, jet skiing, fishing, sailing, picturesque hikes, eating fresh fish, lobsters and conch and more. Your villa sits at the top of a sheer cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea. It is private and sits apart from the beach resort below for your peace and quiet. It is a quick walk to the beach at Secret Harbor, and 5 minutes to the town of Red Hook for great shopping and dining. We can recommend airport transfers, taxi's to town and car rental companies, or maps and advice for walking around the neighborhood or to nearby Red Hook. We can also recommend boat tours for snorkeling, island hopping and more. GUESTS PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: Villa Solaire is an eco-minded retreat. As we make our own solar power, and capture our own water onsite, energy and resource conservation are paramount during your stay. We opt for guests who understand our commitment to environmental sustainability. Air Conditioning: Running off Solar Power we have ample electricity and battery reserves; however please try not to keep the A/C running all day long. The Villa sits high on a cliff, open windows and fans on in each room will let in the ocean breeze and will make most guests very comfortable. If you use the A/C, do so mindfully and please turn it off when you leave the Villa. Showers: We collect rainwater into cisterns under the property, to be filtered and reused as clean potable water. This water is more alkaline and pure than water from public systems. We also re-use gray water as irrigation for the gardens and plantings around your Villa. Do not use harsh chemicals, or pour oil down the drains. When showering, try and limit your time to 5 minutes of water use. You can try the "Aussie method", and take time to soap up with the water turned off, and then turn it back on to rinse off. Smoking: Smoking inside the Villa, near the pool, on the patio, or in the garden area is strictly prohibited. If evidence of smoking (odor, ashes, butts, matches etc.) is found there will be a MINIMUM FINE OF $250, or more depending on actual costs to remove smoke residue, damages, cleaning, etc. If you MUST smoke, smoking is allowed only in the driveway area, and all cigarette butts etc. must be properly disposed of in the provided receptacle.
