There is wifi, and the maid cleans your room three times a week (Mo, Wed, Fri). For a small fee she will also do your laundry. You have no kitchen, but there is a coffee and tea maker in your room, and we'll bring you fresh fruit and bread every day. There are also plenty of restaurants in all price ranges in the area. There is even one in the building! The studio is on the 6th floor (elevator) of a landmark building in the very heart of Mexico City. The historic center was declared a World Heritage Site in 1991. The Zocalo (main square with cathedral, National Palace and the Aztec Templo Mayor ruins) is just a few steps away. So is the MUNAL (national art gallery), Bellas Artes (the opera house) and the Alameda (historic city park) - a great place to jog in the mornings. And the area abounds with cafés, restaurants, bars and great shops. Petra, the owner, lives in building. She will interact with you as little or as much as you want. She speaks English, German, Spanish and French and will happily share her wealth of information about Mexico, Mexico City and the historic center in particular. Petra can also help arrange tours and excursions. The Allende subway station around the corner. So are stops for major public bus lines, incl. the hop-on hop-off turibus. There is a USD10 fee for check-in/out between 9 pm and 9 am and on Sundays and official Mexican holidays.
