Located a two-minute walk from the local restaurants and businesses that surround the village square, this air-conditioned flat has everything you need to feel at home in this sublime part of the world. Clara Vista Villas have an exceptional view of the Bay of Tenacatita and the glorious Costa Alegre sunsets. There are six buildings on the property, each with two flats. Flat #3 is located in the center of the property, on the ground floor, below Flat #9. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a gas stove, an oven, and a breakfast bar with stools. The sturdy dining room table seats six and was custom made in La Manzanilla. There is a washer and a dryer in the unit, and laundry detergent is provided, so you can pack light without worrying about running out of clothes. Wi-Fi throughout the flat is included with all rentals. An infinity pool on the ground floor is open to all Clara Vista guests during posted times. If swimming in the calm ocean is more to your liking, the beach can be accessed by walking down a set of steps located near the pool. There is an outdoor shower that can be used to rinse off. In addition, lounge chairs and umbrellas are available for poolside or beach use. The grill by the pool can be reserved for cookouts. The property manager, Blas, lives in Unit #1 and can be reached at any time during the day for questions. La Manzanilla is known for its welcoming and down-to-earth community, as well as its calm beach. This laid-back fishing village is home to an artistic and international population that values the environment, Mexican culture, and preserving its unique identity as a retreat from ostentatious commercial resorts and impersonal retail chains. In the center of town, you will find a variety of great local restaurants, small grocery stores, spas, and booksellers. There are also a couple pharmacies and a doctor’s office. The town’s Catholic church is located across from the town square. Every Friday, there is a market downtown where you can purchase clothing, food, jewelry, home decor, etc. At various points during the year, there are town festivals with parades, food stands, and carnival games. La Manzanilla’s beach is great for families with young children or adults who prefer wading and swimming. The waves are small and the water is shallow for up to twenty feet. Other outdoor attractions near La Manzanilla include snorkeling, kayaking, and fishing. La Manzanilla is also conveniently located near several golf courses, including El Tamarindo and Isla Navidad Country Club. Those interested in the natural environment of the Costa Alegre will be delighted to visit La Manzanilla’s crocodile sanctuary. Visitors can walk along a set of bridges and observe the flora and fauna of the mangrove up close. More adventurous visitors can partake in a guided boat tour of the mangroves. La Manzanilla’s restaurants, shops, town square, Catholic church, pharmacies, and doctor’s office are all within a 2-10 minute walk of Clara Vista Villas. The closest restaurant is a two-minute walk down the beach, and the entrance to the wildlife sanctuary is a three-minute walk away. A car is not necessary to take advantage of everything that La Manzanilla has to offer, but it is suggested if you are planning to visit neighboring beaches or golf courses. Flying in? We suggest flying into Manzanillo, Colima or Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. La Manzanilla is about a 45 minute drive north of the Manzanillo airport and about a 2 ½ hour drive south of the Puerto Vallarta airport. If you do not have a car, you can take a bus from Manzanillo or Puerto Vallarta to Melaque, a town next to La Manzanilla. There are very affordable local buses from Melaque to La Manzanilla that will drop you off a few block from Clara Vista. A taxi between Melaque and La Manzanilla costs approximately 200 pesos (roughly 10-11 USD). -On-site gated parking is available. -No pets allowed. -Smoking only allowed in designated outdoor areas. -Housekeepers clean the flat once a week and at the end of each stay.
