Casa Novas was just made available through Air B n B on July 26, 2020. It is located less than 3 miles from Luquillo beach; La Selva Beach, and La Pared beach. It is about 5 miles away from the rain forest, with horseback riding and other outdoor adventure outfits (Hacienda Carabalí). Nearby (15 minute drive) is the Fajardo port where a ferry departs for Culebra island, and Vieques Island. Fajardo municipal airport is 5 miles away. There is great snorkeling nearby at Seven Seas beach, Fajardo, world class surfing (in season) at La Selva Beach, Racetracks and Uluwatu off the Fajardo lighthouse. Casa Novas sits at the very beginning of the eastern ecological corridor, which spans 5-7 miles of undeveloped, virgin coastal forest. Las Cabezas de San Juan reserve in Fajardo boasts miles of solitary coastal trails, and a bioluminescent bay where nighttime tours in kayak can be arranged. Less than a 5 minute drive from the house there are major supermarkets, pharmacies (Walgreens) , San Pablo Hospital, a US Post Office, medical offices, seaside restaurants, and of course the famous Luquillo Beach seaside kiosks (over 50 kiosks) serving up local fare, conch and cod fritters, fried fish, ceviche, and plenty of cold cervezas. Guests will have the entire use of the property--including the pool---, which is not shared with anyone else. always available but not on the premises Las Aves, where the house is located, is a small, quiet, gated community containing 14 privately owned homes arranged in a single street which traverses the hillside it is located in. It overlooks the Atlantic Ocean to the north, and also has magnificent vistas of the rain forest to the east and south. It is located at the very beginning of the eastern ecological corridor, comprised of no less than 5-7 miles of undeveloped beaches, coastal lagoons and beach trails. The natural surroundings are home to many species of birds, and tropical flora. Casa Novas is located in the coastal town of Luquillo, about 30 miles east of the international airport. It is about a 45 minute drive from the airport. The street address is Paseo Las Aves 7, Luquillo, Puerto Rico. Guest limit is six (6) people at any one time on the property and it is strictly enforced. No loud noises, or any kind of disruption on our neighbor's quiet enjoyment of their property will be allowed. Upon checking in, guests will personally receive from us keys to the house; required electronic device necessary to gain access to this gated community 24/7; and one electronic device to operate the carport/garage. These items are hard to replace, reason for which a $150.00 security deposit is required within your reservation. At Casa Novas, all our guests will be personally greeted by us at check in. Check in time is 1-7pm, which we ask guests to observe when making their travel plans. Please make sure that your travel plans allow for this as we do not have after hours check in. Should your flight be delayed, we recommend staying at the airport hotel or nearby Marriott Isla Verde, and then checking in at the house bright and early the next morning at 8:00 a.m. We will also be available at check out, in order to collect keys, and electronic devices necessary to access the property. Please also note that on Thursdays the pool is serviced, for about 15 minutes. The pool maintenance folks just take about 15 minutes to complete their routine which insures the high standards we maintain. Their visit will be sometime between 8 and 9 am each Thursday and they will announce themselves. They have their own access through a service entrance at the end of our yard.
