This unit is perfect for a couple looking for a romantic getaway or family looking for that perfect family friendly vacation. Easy (free parking) close to the building and a fast elevator that will take you almost right to the front door of the unit so it is suitable for handicapped and elderly as well. Also, the cool ocean breeze and central air conditioning will keep you cool 24/7. Fully-furnished, one and a half bedroom, one-bath condominium in the beautiful Makaha Valley on the west shore of Oahu. The unit is approximately 680 square feet and sleeps up to 4 people with a queen-size bed in the bedroom, a brand new built in twin bunk bed (with brand new memory foam mattresses and curtains and doors for privacy) in the half bedroom room, and, if necessary, a fold out portable single bed. This unit boasts awesome ocean and mountain views from the lanai and is a top floor unit overlooking the entire coastline (please do NOT book if you have a fear of heights. This will NOT be the unit for you.) The kitchen is fully equipped with fresh paint, new nickel hardware, a brand new refrigerator, a dishwasher, and stove. It includes small appliances such as a microwave, toaster, and electric coffee maker as well as dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils, pots and pans. The unit was just furnished with a new sofa, arm chair, a brand new 43 inch flat screen TV in the living room, a 32 inch in the bedroom and there is a full complement of bed linens, pillows, pillow covers and towels. Beach gear such as a cooler, umbrellas, beach chairs, lifejackets, a couple boogie boards, beach mats, and more are also provided for your convenience. FREE HIGH SPEED WIRELESS INTERNET. The Makaha Valley Towers is located about 35 minutes from the Honolulu Airport and 45 minutes from Waikiki Beach. The Makaha Valley Towers boasts resort-style living with a beautiful swimming pool, barbecue area, and championship 18-hole golf course (Makaha Country Club) right next door. Located just one-and-one-half miles (long walk, short jog, or quick ride) to the beautiful, uncrowded, and world-famous Makaha surfing beach which is perfect for swimming, surfing, tanning, and relaxing. Up the road about five miles, there is also Kaena State Park which is another very beautiful uncrowded beach with great hiking trails along the ocean. You can hike two-and-one-half miles to Kaena Point or the entire five miles to the North Shore of Oahu. Another nearby attraction (eight miles) is JW Marriott's Ko Olina Resort and Disney's new Aulani Resort which has five man-made lagoons and is an excellent place to swim, snorkel, and relax for the whole family. It is also home to Paradise Cove Luau which is the best luau that I have been to on all the islands! 1) Tacos and More- Good mexican food and margaritas that will know your socks off! 2) A&G Steaks & Things in Longs Drugs parking lot has very inexpensive (under $10) and delicious steak, chicken, and shrimp plates with rice and salad 3) Coquitos- brand new restaurant. Caribbean inspired food. . 4) Hanabusa's looks kind of grubby but they got a mean cheeseburger and fries for $6.75 and great breakfasts. Known for good local Hawaiian dishes at an affordable price. 4) Valentina's Ristorante is an Italian restaurant. Great place for a pizza. It's inexpensive and great place for the whole family. You can sit indoors or outdoor garden area. 5) BEST PLACE is the Sunset Cafe at 85-010 Army Street, Waianae used to be for military only but it is now open to the public. It's right on the beach and GREAT SPOT for Happy Hour and watching sunsets. Awesome pupu (appetizer) platters. On Thursday thru Sunday nights (7pm to 11pm), they have live music as in Big Hawaiians playing the Ukelele. Makaha Beach is AWESOME (but if you have little kids the waves are bigger in the winter (November/December) Pokai Bay is a 5 minute drive and PERFECT for small children. It is a sheltered cove with NO waves and beautiful, relaxing, and great place to spend the day. if you are coming from condo going thru Waianae (towards town), you turn right either at the Napa Auto Parts (Hanabusa's) or next right is a 7-11 gas station. Either right turn will get you to a big parking lot for Pokai Bay. "Secret Beach" @ Makaha Beach Cabanas. If you come down Kili Drive then at Makaha Beach, you would turn left onto highway heading toward Waianae. Halfway between there (and before you get Makaha Valley Road), you will see Jade Street on your left. Park in parking area on beach side of highway across from Jade Street. Lock up your car and walk through small path to very private beach. Also, the Disney Aulani Resort and Ko Olina lagoons are a 15 minute drive and are also open to the public. Same thing. Sheltered coves/lagoons. At my condo complex, there is also a pool for days away from the beach. We LOVE the side of the island for the peace and tranquility and being away from the big city. Great walk/hike along the ocean at Kaena Point. All major attractions are within an hour if you want to do the touristy stuff :) Many many beautiful beaches and hiking are right there within 2-5 minute drive.
