Welcome to my cosy place near the palaces of Mexico City like Bellas Artes! Experience city living in an old building. Exchange greetings with friendly local neighbours and enjoy stunning views from the fifth floor. Perfect for travellers seeking authentic experiences. Explore Mexico City from a unique perspective! Welcome to my cosy bohemian apartment with a stunning view, nestled near the majestic Bellas Artes Palace! Immerse yourself in the authenticity of local life in this vibrant neighbourhood, where every corner tells a story and every encounter is infused with character. My home, situated in an historic building without a lift, offers you the chance to experience genuine city living, with all its quirks and charms. Please note that my place is located on the fifth floor, providing a bit of a climb but rewarding you with a breathtaking panoramic view of the city (and get some exercise climbing the stairs). Upon entry, you're greeted by a spacious, well-lit area encompassing the living room, kitchen, and dining area. Near the entrance, you'll find a restroom and laundry room. The bedroom boasts an ensuite bathroom. The hardwood flooring, though weathered with time, adds character to the space, with laminate patches visible in some areas, as depicted in the photos. The living room features a bookshelf adorned with antique books and captivating artwork by a local artist. While the futon may not be the most comfortable, it's adorned with numerous cushions for added coziness. Relax amidst the abundance of cushions, enjoying a book or the cityscape through the panoramic window. A television equipped with a Chrome Cast device allows for streaming your preferred entertainment. A hammock, centrally positioned, separates the living room from the kitchen and dining area, providing a cozy spot for a nap or relaxation after a day of exploring the city. Adjacent to the kitchen, the dining area houses a refrigerator. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals, complete with a coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans, and a traditional molcajete for preparing Mexican sauces. A gas stove and oven enable the preparation of authentic Mexican dishes, with recipes available upon request. A nearby market offers fresh ingredients for culinary endeavors. The bedroom ensures a peaceful night's rest, featuring a plush queen-size bed and closet with hooks. Complemented by blackout blinds for optimal sleep conditions, clean linens and blankets are provided. The ensuite bathroom boasts Venetian mosaic accents and a shower with continuous hot water supply. Towels and toiletries are provided for your convenience. The laundry room, situated adjacent to the living room, houses a washing machine and drying area, stocked with toilet paper and cleaning supplies. There aren’t any common areas in the building and the apartment will be fully available for you. I will send you two manuals, one to explain how to arrive to the apartment and the second one with general instructions about services (wi-fi, water, gas, washing machine) and where you can find some things in the place (pans, kettle, plates, cleaning articles, first-aid kit, etc). If you have any questions or need help about anything in the apartment, I will be available on my mobile, you can text me or call me any time during the day. Mexico City is called “The City of Palaces” and most of these palaces are in downtown, making it a stunning area to stay. Almost on every block you will find historical places with different architectural styles, some of them are museums, theaters, churches or restaurants and a few government offices. You may want to take some walking tours with local guides who tell stories about the neighborhood, buildings and streets; also if you like Mexican food and drinking you can tour older restaurants and cantinas. You can find many places to eat and drink, from street food and cantinas to sophisticated restaurants and bars, from typical Mexican food to Mexican signature cuisine and international cuisine; the prices correspond to the kind of place you choose to eat. Of course there is a market with really good and fresh food if you prefer to make dinner yourself. Also, the city center has always been a commercial area, you can find many stores with all kinds of things you can imagine. I like to think that downtown is like a huge department store, and every street is a different department, thus Donceles street is the specialist area of photography and old books, Tacuba street is perfume and scents department, etc. Because of that, you will find many kinds of different people walking or buying in the streets of downtown. Besides, the cultural life in downtown is quite active with several kinds of activities to do: museums, exhibitions, concerts, plays, dance, festivals. There are many things to do in the heart of the city, so I can ensure you won't be bored.
