Outside of Palmas From Palmas you have easy access to major highways. If you have time, try to visit the famous pork highway (look up Andrew Zimmerman, pork highway ) in guavate, Cayey. Easy to get to. About a 40 min ride, also going the other way is the town of Fajardo. Where the only US tropical rain forest is located. And the ferry to the islands of Vieques and Culebra.
