This is a completely private and separate two bedroom unit with three beds (2 Queen beds and 1 twin bed). New kitchen/living room installed recently. New LED lights in the bathrooms and updated bedrooms as well. Fun space with charm and lots of eco-friendly materials including reclaimed wood floors and non-VOC paints and insulation. Desk added recently for work from home. Responsive host who owns the apartment. You will enter the apartment from the street level and descend three steps to a hallway with a coat closet and storage. The ground floor has a kitchen/living room as well as a door to the yard. The living room has an L shaped couch for relaxing in front of a flat screen smart TV with live TV from YouTubeTV. There is a guitar to play if you know how. The kitchen has a farm style table and is fully equipped with dishwasher, stove/oven, full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, coffeemaker, cooking utensils, dishes, etc. More or less if you need it to cook, we have it. Prepare gourmet meals from the nearby farmer's market or supermarkets. On the second floor, there are two full bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed. The front bedroom has a twin mattress as well. There are kids toys and books in the front bedroom. There is also a washer/dryer on the ground level on the way to the backyard. The garden features a bbq and a table with seating for six. Location, Location! 4 blocks to the L-train at Lorimer Street (2 stops to Manhattan). Get to Union Square in Manhattan in 10 minutes! Lorimer Street is also the G-train stop at Metropolitan Avenue, which goes to Greenpoint, Carroll Gardens, and Queens. Within 2 blocks to many wonderful restaurants and bars: Bagel Smith, Barcade, Forcella Pizza, Le Barricou, Huckleberry Bar, Gwynnett Street and many, many more! 15 minute walk to Bedford Avenue, or 5 minutes on the subway. 10 minute walk to McCarren Park, which has a free large outdoor swimming pool, running track and hang out area. This home was originally built in 1910 and has lots of character. It has been a family house for over 100 years. I own this house and live here when we are in New York City. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL and I like to think of guests as friends that are staying in my place. If you want a hotel, please stay in one! The house is a "private dwelling" according to New York City and is excluded from the city' Multiple Dwelling Law for buildings with 3 units or more. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets or smokers. Ask if you have other questions! Thanks. The whole place is yours to enjoy but be aware that we have some things in the place. Feel free to play the guitar, use our daughters toys/books, cook to your heart's content or hang out in the yard. There are neighbors upstairs. They are quiet for you and we expect the same of you for them. Please note that the cleaner will need access to the washer/dryer for the apt if she is cleaning that space. I will let you know when she will be there (between 10am - 4pm). She just uses the laundry and doesn't enter any rooms. We are always available on the phone or email, sometimes in person. I travel a lot and stay in many, very different houses and apartments around the world. I love the variety and experiencing local life. This is not a new and empty (sterile condo). Come and enjoy living in our house and hanging out in our neighborhood. If you rent this apartment, you agree to let the cleaner come into the apartment to wash the sheets of the upstairs apartment if she needs to clean that apartment while you are staying at the house. There is only one washing machine in the house, which is for your private use except if the cleaner needs access. Also, please abide by the garbage rules and bring the garbage out on the correct days. There is absolutely no smoking, pets, guests or parties/events at the house without prior written approval. There are in wall AC units in the livingroom/kitchen and the 2nd bedroom (kid's room). A wall unit is available for the main bedroom, if desired. Please make sure you have, at least, a verified ID and social media with airbnb. If you have no reviews, I will ask some questions. I will require a copy of a government ID for anyone without reviews. If you want to use the place after check out, please book an extra day. Same goes if you come in really early, if you want to use the place right away, book it for the night before. I will always help where I can.
