Floor to ceiling windows allow you to enjoy panoramic views throughout your stay. This beautiful estate is comprised of 2 properties: the Main House and the Guesthouse. The ground level of the Main House at Casita del Lago has two living rooms, one of which comes complete with a rustic chimney. The dining room is situated in front of a fully equipped kitchen and pantry. The second level of the Main House at Casita del Lago has two bedrooms. The bedrooms in the main house each have a balcony and plenty of storage for your belongings. Please note that the stairs going up onto the second level don’t have a railing and may be dangerous for small children and the elderly. The Guesthouse has two bedrooms; with a shared full bathroom and comfortable living room with more spectacular views of Lake Atitlan. Each bedroom has nightstands and dressers, and all bathrooms come complete with a rain head shower and hot water. Take in the outdoors by swimming in the lake and pool, or take a walk through the garden to find fruits sprawled across the property grounds because Casita del Lago boasts twelve fruit trees, all of which you can enjoy! Acces to all the house. At Casita del Lago, our guests are our number one priority! We provide 24-hour service. We can provide you with information on things to do in Atitlan and nearby cities, transportation, places to visit, where to eat and more. If you require cleaning and cooking services, those can be requested at an additional low price. Please ask us about cost for extra guest per night. There is a $75 pet cleaning fee and need to be aproved prior your stay. Casita del Lago is located in the village of Cerro de Oro, which is on the southern shore of Lake Atitlán, between San Lucas Tolimán and Santiago Atitlán, in the department of Sololá. You’ll find yourself at approximately 1,600 meters above sea level or 5,249 feet. The nearby villages of San Lucas Tolimán, Santiago Atitlán, San Marcos La Laguna can be easily reached by water. The Mayan village of Panajachel, is crammed with street vendors selling all sorts of Guatemalan handicrafts including clothing, textiles, and leather goods. Tourist stop here to buy souvenirs, enjoy the bars and fill up on Guatemalan cuisine, the delightful village of Panajachel is only a 15 minute boat ride from Casita del Lago. We highly recommend the chocolate and honey tours which we’ll happily arrange for you, just ask! The best way to get to the towns around the lake is by boat. Let us know and we can schedule one for you. (You travel at your own risk) Please know we have a Super 24 near by boat. It is important to note that Cerro de Oro is a small town and its local shops don’t offer a HUGE variety of food/meet products. Also, we have an eco water filter, but you may want to bring your own bottled water. Casita del Lago promotes a screen free vacation therefore you won’t find a TV on property. Also, don’t be surprised to run into an insect or two during your stay, we are invading their space after all! $30 extra guest fee per night, per guest.
