A 1,700 sq. ft. 3 bedroom hillside house with breathtaking views, a spacious deck overlooking the sea, town and islands beyond. It's perfect for couples and families with a full kitchen. The downstairs third bedroom with bath is only available for 5 - 6 guests. Only a 10 minute drive to Flamenco Beach and a short walk to restaurants, bars and the ferry. Playa Melones, is within walking distance. The house is attractively furnished and equipped, as it’s also my vacation home. The house has ceiling fans throughout to take advantage of the tropical breezes and a high efficiency Inverter AC in each bedroom. Floor to ceiling windows open onto the spacious deck. All rooms including the bathroom are good sized. The bathroom has a walk in rain shower and two sinks. The modern kitchen features an eating counter and new appliances. There's an area with table, chair and reading lamp, plus a small bookcase, perfect as a working/computer space. Downstairs you will find beach chairs and a beach shower. Everything in the 2 bedroom house is fully available to the guests except for a wall mounted utility closet on the deck. The house is on a hill in a residential area overlooking the town,yet it's a several minute walk to the bars, restaurants and the markets. Flamenco Beach is a 5 - 10 minute drive and Melones Beach is within walking distance. Its a 5 minute walk to the plaza near the ferry terminal where the taxis $5 and shared vans $3 per head provide transportation to the beaches. You can walk to the bars, restaurants and the markets with ease. There are jeeps and golf carts available for rent across from the airport. Cellular reception is very good because the island's cell tower is within 1000 feet. Check your cellular provider. There is a WIFI router in the house. The kitchen is well equipped (I like to cook) with special features including a water filtration system, coffee maker, gas stove, blender, pots and pans, microwave, good size refrigerator/freezer and a convection oven. Culebra is a rooster friendly island. You will awaken to an avian symphony inviting you to enjoy the sunrise and should this is not your cup of tea, you will find it comfortable to sleep in with the Inverter AC and curtains. There is a fairly steep inclined paved road to the house. If you have mobility issues and plan to walk, this would not be a good choice for you. I’m an artist and my paintings are on the walls.
