Tucan room in a bamboo house with jungle garden
This room is located in Casa Ch'ulel, a home in the jungle that has received visitors for 15 years. Recently remodeled with bamboo, it has a simple though natural look. Wake up with a coffee or a breakfast in the garden, while the monkeys, macaws and hummingbirds pass through the trees. Although it is not equipped with AC, the rooms are fresh because of the bamboo roof and the shade of the trees, and count with ventilators. The garden, full of jungle life, will soon become your favorite spot to hang around and be amazed while observing the multiple shades of green and listening to the birds' songs. The bed and living room are in the same space. In the morning, you will enjoy the beautiful morning sun shining through the two windows. You will share the hall, garden and kitchen with other guests. Though owners Jonas and Luna are often out of town, you will always be warmly received by Mundo, who will cater to all your needs and give you all his secret tips about where to go. Halfway between the downtown of Palenque and the archeological site, the place combines a perfect location with the tranquility of the jungle. Nearby are various good restaurants, and around the corner is a small supermarket. The house is located near the road to the archeological site, where every couple of minute a public van can take you to the ruins in 10 min or to downtown in 5 min. Along the road is also a sidewalk and a bicycle path. We have invested a lot to get Wifi in the house with a mobile router and network amplifier/repeater. Nevertheless, the quality of the signal is variable, depending a lot on the internet traffic and weather conditions, so not suited for heavy internet use.
