Villa Los Gorgones is a luxurious villa in tasteful French-Caribbean style, located in a quiet corner of Las Galeras. Villa Los Gorgones invites you to an impressive, spacious living room with high wood ceilings, that continues onto the terrace. The infinity pool overlooks the landscaped backyard and the deep blue Atlantic ocean. The master bedroom and two of the guest rooms have direct access to the swimming pool. All the stylishly decorated bedrooms have their own private bathroom with hot and cold shower. The master bedroom has a king size bed, 2 guestrooms with queen size bed, and 1 guest room with 2 single beds. There is a small children's bed available as well. For those who want to do some cooking, there is a fully equipped kitchen with most things you would expect, a large gas stove with oven, and a barbeque outside. Guests have access to all parts of the villa. I will be there to receive you and pop in from time to time to make sure everything is to your satisfaction. And of course I'm always available via email and phone. The housekeeper cleans the house daily and you can always talk to her if you need anything. A security guard lives on the premises, but respects your privacy. Villa Los Gorgones is located in a quiet corner of Las Galeras, just a few minutes walk from the beautiful playa La Playita. It's also close to downtown, where you will find restaurants, gift shops, local shops for groceries and activity shops. Famous Playa Rincon, Playa Fronton, Playa Colorada, El Limon waterfalls and Los Haitises National Park are all closeby and make for great daytrips. The most efficient way of getting around is by car. Local transportation consists mainly of motortaxis (motoconchos) and guaguas, both of which are somewhat adventurous. Las Galeras itself is really small, so you can easily walk to downtown from the villa. Due to the high cost of electricity in Las Galeras, electricity is charged separately from the rent and is based on your actual consumption. With a conservative consumption, count on $10-$18 per day. The housekeeper is also available for cooking meals. A typical charge for dinner for 1 to 4 people is 25 US$, for 5 to 9 it's 45 US$ (includes the cleanup afterwards).
