If you need a lot of "hand holding" I am not the host for you! :) I dont mind making recommendations for places to see and go. Just a 30-minute drive from Downtown Savannah, Tybee Island is the perfect spot for a quick getaway. We are on the South End of the Island. There are multiple beaches to visit. Visitors can kayak, bike, visit the historic forts (or the lighthouse) and camp on the beautiful island. Of course, the main attractions are the peaceful, mile-long beaches that stretch throughout the Georgia coast. Tybee Island boasts three public oceanfront beaches and two river beaches, each appealing to a different kind of visitor. Find your match and Visit Tybee! Tybee is only 2.5miles long so it is very accessible. You can walk or bike just about anywhere. Alternatively, grab an Uber or Breezy for $5/person one-way anywhere on the island. You can also rent bikes or a golf cart to explore the island. Tim's Bike & Beach Gear is a good option or Fat Tire Bikes. Property Wifi signal for this property is weak (it is the furthest from the router) but you can access it in the courtyard without an issue ------------------------------------------ 2 Guest MAX ------------------------------------------ Please note that on the 7th day of your booking, you have the option to pay for a second cleaning to have fresh linens on the bed and new towels. However, starting from the 8th day, it's mandatory to have the cleaning service and fee. ------------------------------------------ Early check-in or Late Check-out fee is $150.00 Early check-ins must be arranged in advance. Can't be the same day as the check-in date. Late checkout is subject to approval ------------------------------------------ PET POLICY: All pets must be preapproved prior to booking. We do not allow cats/other animals. *Dogs are WELCOME! However, you must indicate this (size, breed, age) in your booking ahead of time, so please do not instantly book if you intend to bring a dog. A pet fee of $100 will be required per pet (2 pets max). This fee will be charged for Emotional Support Animals and must be paid prior to check-in. ------------------------------------------ Regardless of where you end up booking on Tybee, before booking please look up local events/parades, road work, possible future storms, weather and tides. Traffic can be backed up due to major events or an accident on the island, or changes in weather like rain lead to a lot of people leaving the beach all at once, so it's a good idea to plan ahead and know what's going on! If you decide to go into Savannah for the day, plan ahead for your return at night. It is fully recommended to do this research in advance and to monitor radar on your stay. Tybee is a super fun place and our Island loves to have a good time. We often have fireworks for major holidays also which are well attended. During a Full Moon, especially on a Super Moon, a high tide or even a King Tide can happen which is when the tides are even higher than normal. While very rare, it is possible, water can also cross over the main road US Hwy 80 coming onto and leaving the Island so please plan ahead for that. The city and county may close roads temporarily as it isn't safe to drive through water so you may need to plan accordingly to arrive early or later to the Island. ------------------------------------------ -Bring your own BEACH TOWELS. These are not provided by us. If you don't want to back them, there are 15+ stores within 2-3 streets of our place that sell them and they will make a great memory to take home! :) -We provide you with White Bath Towels that are for in room use only. If you take my towels to the beach (they are not intended for that), it will not be replaced or washed for you during your stay. If it is ruined by taking it to the beach or by excessive sand, you'll be charged a replacement fee. -If you're planning a long stay you may want to bring some back up towels as we do not have laundry on site. There is a coin- laundry facility at the corner of 2nd Ave & 1st Street (17 blocks away - you'd want to drive there). ------------------------------------------ You will need to buy your own groceries, breakfast, coffee, etc. This is not like staying in a hotel and we do not offer hotel services like turndown or nightly cleanings. There is no on-site staff to come to trouble shoot TV, WiFi, etc. We do not provide a full service concierge service. ------------------------------------------ ONE FREE PARKING PASS good for your stay which allows parking Island-wide in public spaces which is worth $48 per 8AM to 8PM per day! This is only good during your stay and must be returned to the room prior to check out. If Pass is accidentally taken home or not returned will be billed ($500) to the guest, a police report will be filed, no exceptions- please be considerate and thoughtful to the next guests! These passes are not disposable and very hard to come by. If you have a 2nd car, we do not provide a pass for that vehicle. Parking is metered 7 days per week from 8am to 8pm. The cost is $48/day and it you can prepay for up to 3 days a time on the machines. It is FREE between 8pm and 8am. Since parking is so important to keeping the island in good condition for your next visit, there are no free, public parking spaces on Tybee. Parking regulations are enforced 8AM – 8PM, 365 days a year. A few spots still have meters, though most parking places have been converted to Pay-&-Display parking. The mission of Tybee Island’s Parking Service Division is to support and enhance the experience of visiting Tybee Island by providing safe, accessible on-street and surface-lot parking. Staff enforces City rules, policies, regulations, and ordinances as they pertain to parking issues. When you park, be sure to pay the appropriate meter or locate the nearest Pay-&-Display Station to purchase time. Pay & Display Stations dispense a receipt that should be displayed securely and prominently on the dash of your vehicle. FREQUENT VISITORS SIDE NOTE: You can purchase your own yearly pass for $250 if you plan to come back to Tybee Island often, it is well worth as you can park in any city parking space! ------------------------------------------ I do recommend picking up some local No Gnatz bug spray which works wonders with mosquitoes and sand gnats for your stay! We are located near the water and depending on the time of year, mosquitoes tend to be out! Please keep all doors and windows shut throughout your stay as to not let AC out plus bugs are hard to keep out of beach homes and I am diligent about keeping the home clean! ------------------------------------------ If you require a special sized pot or pan for a specialty dish, please plan to bring it or purchase upon arrival! I have lots of items in the kitchen for you to enjoy and you should find pretty much everything that you need to have a great stay! My coffee pot takes is an individual single cup brewer that can use both K Cups or convert to use with your own grounds (please bring your own coffee).
