Casita del Artista, a newly built small cottage in a lush garden, fully furnished. Hear the fountain all day and the quiet sound of the waves all night. A private complete casita,with AC, a meditative porch, living room, and a comfortable couch. Experience a full kitchen with brand new appliances. The bedroom connects to the bathroom, large rain shower. Two large arched windows over sliding glass doors with screens are the portal to your indoor and outdoor experience at Casita del Artista. 150 meters from the beach, in the quieter section of the bay. Walk 1 mile on the beach in either direction to downtown Barra de Navidad or downtown Melaque. Lots of good restaurants in Villa Obregon and a Tienda a few steps away where you can get almost everything you need. Three blocks away from the Tianguis, the popular Wednesday market. There are bars with live music and dancing a short walk or bike away, (especially during the winter) Summer can be quite a wonderful time to visit if you don’t mind the rainy season or heat. Check the temperature before you book in the summer months. Mexico summers are hot. There is no TV in the Casita but guest have access to wifi, Netflix and Amazon Prime on their computer or tablet via my password if needed. Coffee anyone? Espresso for Cappuccino, Espresso on the stove, French press, Drip. Pick your style. All paintings around the property are by my late husband, renowned Artist Edward Gilliam and available for sale, no pressure. La Casita del Artista was built in his honor. Hospitable trilingual owner, French, English, Spanish, ready to welcome you and refer you to beaches, restaurants, yoga studios, music and dancing Many seating areas in the large garden , both patios in front of each house are private. Shared BBQ, Washer and clothesline. Access to roof is available except for the private hot-tub. Do yoga, watch the sunset or the stars, read in the lounge chair, enjoy the flowering cactuses. I can do both socializing a bit and/or giving space. I can help with language as I am fluent in Spanish. I am available by Phone, FaceTime and Messenger Villa Obregon is a more quiet area of Melaque. Our beach less than 2 minutes away walking, is the quietest on the bay. The beach can be steep but if you are a good swimmer no problem otherwise a quick bike-ride to West Melaque. Two (2 ) doors down is a Tienda “la Buena Vida”with fresh produce and dairies and almost everything you may want. 2 blocks away is Rosita Loncheria with fresh juices. 3 blocks away a popular coffee shop Taza Negra. Restaurants very close: Quetzal de Laura, Vainilla Pimienta, The Frog, La Salamandra, Rita, Laguna del Tule. And live music at Ancora beach Club and Albatros during the winter/spring months. Come enjoy. To downtown Melaque 1 mile, walking on the beach or by Bicycle (2 free for your use) Bus, Moto Taxi or Taxi To downtown Barra 3 mile by road and 1 mile walking on the beach. Bus or taxi by the road. Bus and Moto Taxis are only 2 blocks away on our street Friendly people only. Better suited for one or two people.
