This is a suite at Balancé Surf & Yoga Retreat, a boutique waterfront hotel in Playa El Tunco; this is not a private house. This suite sits in front of our central mango tree near the yoga studio. The room has two sleeping areas: downstairs has 1 king bed or option for 2 twin beds. Upstairs loft has 1 queen bed. The room has a private terrace with an El Salvadoran hammock. All rooms at Balancé have hot water, lush bedding, A/C, and purified drinking water that we refill throughout your stay. We have regularly scheduled yoga classes in our studio, a great quiver of surfboards available for rent, and 24/7 service to the airport for pickup and dropoff. You are reading the listing for the Mango Suite, which is on the yoga studio / café side of our resort. The Mango Suite is located at the heart of our surf retreat - right under the shade and beauty of our central Mango tree. This is the ideal room we have for 3 person groups because of the option to come with 3 separate beds. This room includes an upstairs mezzanine level with a queen bed, desk and tropical hardwood flooring. The ground floor space has the option for 1 king bed or two twin beds. The room Includes a small kitchenette with mini-fridge, tea kettle, coffee maker, sink, private bathroom, air conditioning, private terrace with hammock space, high-speed fiber optic internet, a closet / organizer, a secure safe, and a large beautiful bathroom. All of our rooms come with hot water showers, premium linens, air conditioning, and come stocked with purified drinking water that we keep refilled throughout your stay. The suites at our yoga retreat purposefully do not have televisions or cable TV. Come disconnect and retreat at Balancé! Our property is located in El Tunco, inside the main gate and walking distance to all the great cafés, restaurants, bars and nightlife. The Balancé retreat offers the advantage of being walking distance to everything but far enough away so that the noise from bars and live music will never disturb your peaceful getaway. Our backyard faces the surf break at La Bocana. Unlike most of the airbnb listings you'll find in the area, Balancé is truly walking distance to the waves - the surf break is right in front! At most of the rental houses you'll see in the area, you would need a car or hire a guide to travel to and from surfing each day; the waves are right in our backyard at Balancé. This Airbnb listing is up to date and has a full listing of the amenities specific to the room. You'll have private access to your room, like at any hotel. The waterfront pool, deck, gardens and hammocks are shared common spaces for all hotel guests to enjoy. On our property we have a gorgeous yoga studio with regular classes that you may participate in at the advertised price. We accept drop ins or you can reserve and pay for class in advance if you prefer. If you are looking for a more private space, we have a villa behind the yoga studio that comes with a private plunge pool, garden, and a full kitchen. The villa has two internal bedrooms and a third detached suite, and is ideal for larger groups or families. We have a staff working on our property each day that is available to help you with your needs throughout your stay. We have amazing surf right in our backyard. El Salvador is a world class surfing destination, and with a 30 seconds walk from our gate, you can can be paddling out into the lineup. There's no hyperbole in those words, the surf break "La Bocana" is right in front of the property!!! And just a few minutes walk down the beach lies the Sunzal point break. We'll come pick you up from the airport which is only a 40 minute drive to our door. We have 24/7 service to the airport at great rates. You can get everywhere you need in El Tunco and Sunzal within walking distance of the apartment. However, we honor your preference to book on Airbnb if that is your preferred method and will provide you with the same level of great customer support as we do with all of our guests. CHECK IN / CHECK OUT Check in is as 3:00pm, and check out is at 12:00pm. EARLY CHECK IN REQUESTS People frequently ask about early check-in. The answer is always that we can only provide for early check-in if the room has not been reserved by a different group the night before. If the room is reserved by a group the night before your stay, they’ll have until 12pm to check out, and we’ll need until 3pm to clean and prepare the room for your stay. If your flight arrives early, we have a safe area to lock up your luggage and you can explore town or go to the beach while you wait for the room to be ready. LATE CHECK-OUT REQUESTS People frequently ask about late check-out. The answer is always that we can only provide for late check-out if the room has not been reserved by a different group the night after your stay. If the room is reserved by a group the night after your stay, we need you to check out promptly by 12pm to allow enough time to clean and prepare the room for the next group. If your flight leaves late in the day or evening, we have a safe area to lock up your luggage and you can explore town or go to the beach while you wait for right time to leave for the airport. LAUNDRY As noted in the amenities section, we do have laundry service available and washers and dryers on site. These are not private washer/dryers for your room and laundry service is available for a fee like at any hotel. Laundry is $7 USD per bag and comes folded and delivered to your room. CLEANINGS At no extra cost, we provide cleaning service throughout your stay. Daily, we'll empty your wastebasket, check your drinking water for refills, and do a quick tidy up in your room. Every other day we'll do a more detailed cleaning and we'll change your sheets and linens on day 3. If you need a different arrangement, just speak with our reception desk once you are here. KEYLESS ENTRY DOOR LOCKS One thing that stands out about Balancé is that all of our rooms come with coded keyless entry door locks so you don't have to hassle with keys when you go out to surf or to go eat. We hate dealing with keys when we travel so we wanted to provide you with that nice touch! Your code and instructions on using the door will be provided at check-in. RESERVATION PLANNING: After you've booked, we require the name and email address of every adult guest that is staying on the property. We'll provide an invoice directly from Balancé (not from Airbnb) to ensure that you receive copies of all the important reservation planning notifications that our customers normally receive. We will NOT send you promotional emails, newsletters, or other marketing messages of any kind unless you request them or sign up for them separately. AIRPORT TRANSFERS: We offer 24/7 service to the airport. It's not possible to reserve that on Airbnb, but after you've reserved and paid for this room, we can assist you to reserve airport transfers on our website. We have a wonderful driver and like-new vehicles in excellent condition to ensure comfort on your short trip from the airport to Balancé. It's only 40 minutes from the airport to our door. YOGA CLASS: Our Yoga studio is one of the best yoga facilities you'll find anywhere. Our classes include a nice, clean yoga mat, full length towels, blocks and bolsters, and the perfect temperature for yoga awaits in our studio. For most of the year, our classes are led by one of the best yoga teachers in the world: Lindsay Gonzalez. She is our studio manager and manages classes with an awesome local group of women during any of the weeks when she is traveling abroad. BOARD RENTALS: We have one of the best surfboard quivers that you'll find in El Salvador. We have a selection of surfboards in all shapes and sizes, in excellent condition and with premium fins. Balancé is located right in front of one of El Salvador's best and most consistent waves: La Bocana. You can walk out the gate in our yard, check the surf, and paddle out. We're also just minutes away from all the best point breaks in the area. We've been doing surf trips in this area since 2006 and have a team of amazing guides that can drive you to surf the best point breaks on El Salvador's coast. Balancé is owned and operated by a team of dedicated, experienced surfers. SURF LESSONS: Are you a beginner and want to try surfing for the first time? We have a great team of surf instructors available and great soft top boards for surf lessons. Just ask and we can setup a lesson for you. We offer 60 minute, 90 minute, and two hour lessons. Our team will recommend the right time to ensure the best conditions (tide, wind, and swell size) for your lesson.
