Public transportation gets to La Fortuna from San Jose or Liberia, but a more comfortable and faster arrive would be with a shuttle service (Interbus, Ride CR and Gray Line are wonderfull companies and most of them have connections all over the country). There are also flights landing to El Tanque, which is located 20 minutes away from La Fortuna (Sansa and Nature Air are the local airline companies). If you are coming from Monteverde, the cheapest and easiest way to get to La Fortuna it is booking a Jeep-boat-Jeep through the Arenal Lake. Most of the transportation companies will not drop you off directly to my place, they can do it just at hotel receptions, but Arenal Rabfer or el Volcan Hotel are located just 70mts from my property so you can choose these hotels as drop off place.
