Frangipani is located 5 miles east of Port Antonio, in the lush, rural,tropical subdivision of San San, beside the village of Drapers. It is within walking distance of Drapers, Frenchman's Cove, and San San Beach. Port Antonio, Blue Lagoon and Boston are just a few minutes drive away. The property is a self contained serviced apartment and has a 2 lane, 1/3 Olympic length pool, (55 feet/16.6 meters), for guests. We offer a 15% discount for stays of one week and a 30% discount for one month. Our home with the two bedroom guest suite has cable/smart TV, WiFi, laundry facilities and a full kitchen. The two acre property is planted with many fruit and hardwood trees frequented by numerous birds including the swallow tailed hummingbird, Jamaica's National bird. There are several paths throughout the two acre property available for nature walks. There is free parking on our property. In San San, the 1,000 acre property where Frangipani is, there are many quiet, rural two lane roads for hiking. In addition, there are several paths through our two acre property, and a private terrace for the use of our guests. Guests have exclusive use of the guest suite, the front yard and the roof top terrace. They are free to wander around our two acre property. We, your hosts also live at Frangipani, and easily accessible by phone, WiFi etc., or knocking on our door. We will certainly be there when you arrive, and help you settle in. Communications is important, and we have WiFi and smart TV with cable. We also have a 'loaner" cell phone available if you need it. Frenchman's Cove, San San Beach and the village are within easy walking distance. Our two acre property is in the 1,000 acre San San rural subdivision. There are many trails and paths available for quiet walks. Frangipani is abut 1/4 mile from the main North Coast Highway. It is a reasonably easy walk or drive or you can call a taxi for pickup. There are numerous taxis and minibuses on the main highway and getting a ride quickly is rarely a problem. We have a list of reliable drivers who may be called to provide personal transport around Portland, to Kingston, the airports etc. If you are coming to Port Antonio by bus or taxi, we can arrange to have you met in Port Antonio by a driver who can bring you here. Cars may also be rented in Port Antonio, Kingston or at the airports. In addition to the many points of interest in Port Antonio and along the North Coast Highway, the beautiful Rio Grande Valley lies inland from Port Antonio. The scenery here is incredible, and rafting on the Rio Grande River has been a popular activity since it was popularized by Errol Flynn.
