Casa Dulce is a beautiful open house in the traditional style with wide corridors surrounding a charming center garden in the first patio and a refreshing swimming pool in the second patio. It is a true colonial style home and boasts beautiful hand carved wood pillars, cane ceilings, custom tiled floors and custom cabinetry. Our housekeeper works Monday through Saturday, 9am -Noon. She changes sheets and towels once a week and she will show you how to use the washer and dryer for your personal use. Our pool cleaner and gardener arrive on Monday, Wednesday and Friday while she is there. If you leave, she will draw the wooden blinds and lock up for you. Getting around Granada is quite easy. Although a car isn't necessary for exploring the city there are many exciting day trips you can enjoy by driving. On street parking is allowed in our neighborhood or a secure parking lot is located a few blocks away. For those without a car who want to venture outside the city buses run everywhere or a private car and driver can be arranged. Most people find that walking is the way to go here in the city. The city center, museums and restaurants are a leisurely 10-15 minute walk through the beautiful old streets. Also a taxi to anywhere in the city only costs about $ .85 per person. If going outside the city center, ask what the fee will be. The architecture alone is enough to make Granada a memorable destination but there is so much more here to see. The churches and cathedral are one of a kind and have been renovated to show off the splendor of the city. Granada is also a city of culture with museums, art galleries, music and dining. Artisans are abundant. Head to the park and grab a horse drawn buggy and take a tour of the city. Or see the Isletas (small islands), all 352 of them, which form a chain on the banks of Lake Nicaragua, the world’s 10th largest lake. You can take a boat tour of the Isletas and see mangroves, monkeys, and birds.
