This is a basement apartment. The bathroom is at the entry level. As you enter, there is a mud room and bathroom with shower. There are stairs going down to the apartment. Guests do not have use of the garage. The host lives upstairs. There is an empty storage room, which has a kids basketball game. You are welcome to use the game and the storage space. There is a utility room downstairs, please do not disturb that area. No pets and No smoking of any kind. The full mudroom, bathroom, and basement apartment is yours to enjoy. Please do not go into the utility room. You are welcome to use the storage area if you have a need to. The garage is not part of the Airbnb. This is a self check in AirBnB. Although you may see us, and we are happy to visit, we do not officially greet guests. If you need anything, we are nearby. We do travel quite a bit, so if we are out of town we have someone assigned nearby to help you out if you need it. Our home is to the blonde brick home immediately south of a quick shop and an apartment complex. It has limestone rock edging the drive and a cedar fenced front yard. There are lights marking the drive entrance. It has a very rural feel, but has some fun amenities nearby. Defiance Brewery has their Tap Room within walking distance. The quick shop at the corner makes an amazing breakfast. They have homemade breakfast burritos and biscuits and gravy. If you are traveling with an RV or camper and need repairs, across the street is one of the states best RV and camper shops. As we are on the south east corner of Hays, Highway 40 intersects with Canterbury Dr. at the stoplight. We are a few blocks from Hays Medical Center down Canterbury Dr. and very close to Fort Hays State University to the west on Highway 40. Please let us know if you have a truck or are pulling a trailer, we have a special parking for your needs. Parking is free, we ask that you park in front of the west garage or along the edge of the west half of the duplex. There is Uber and Lyft available in the area. The Access Bus will pick up and drop off at this location. Our home is technically in the county, so it is five dollars per ride. It is first come first served and has daily time limits. You can search their website for their information. AirBnB does not allow us to share a link. Guest parking is between the limestone rock, marked Gabel, and the garage door area on the west end of the home. In the photos provided, you can see that we parked a car to show you where your parking is. If there’s more than one car, park it in front of the west, garage door. The drive must be kept open for the renter on the east side. An Access bus must be able to drive up to pick up a passenger on the east side.
