The whole town of Machupicchu is pretty small and pedestrian orientated. The walking radius is about 15 min. No cars or taxis. Only buses that go to and from the ruins to Machupicchu town. In all, wear comfy shoes. Weather is wild so dress for all climates but don’t over do it.
