This studio apartment ('Palma') is part of a colonial house in the center of town. It overlooks a beautiful interior patio and the house is close to all amenities such as restaurants, markets and sights. It is for individuals looking for more independence but in a safe and central space. It has a bedroom with a double bed, fully equipped kitchen/dining area and small private bathroom with hot shower. The house has WIFI. The house is a traditional colonial style house set around an open flower filled courtyard. The studio apartment is on the second floor and overlooks the courtyard so it gets a lot of light. It has wooden floors, a small modern bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, work space and storage area. The studio apartment is independent but the entrance is inside the main house/patio area. The apartment guest is more than welcome to use the patio space as they like (breakfast outside, etc). We are currently away working, but you will be looked after by our brother and sister in law Leslie and Luis, who live in the house and and are contactable by phone easily). We are also here to help (online) with any travel arrangements, tips for cafes and restaurants or anything else you need. The house is on the main road between Central Park and Parque Calvario but as it is set around a courtyard it is quiet. Our favourite bakery/cafe/gelato place is a few blocks away (although it is one of many here!) The supermarket is 5 minutes and the post office just 2 minutes away. The automatic airbnb map is not accurate, please go by the map image in the photo file and when you book you will get the full address, map link and instructions on how to get to the house. It takes 5 minutes to walk to Central Park and bus services are nearby to get to other parts of town. There is secure parking available in a parking lot opposite the house for Q50 a night (they have weekly and monthly rates too). - We specify the studio is more suitable for one individual as it is next to another studio within the wooden/stone colonial building and we find when two people are staying in the apartments and conversing in the living space the sound carries (we only have one person in the other studio for the same reason). - We offer further discounts to students studying in our nearby language school (contact us for details) - We have water deposit and pump on site so good water pressure. - All utilities provided (gas cylinder, electricity, water, drinking water (from filter) - WIFI 24 hours (20mbps download, also used by 2 other rooms, please let us know if you will need internet for work during your stay) - Bedding provided (sheets, pillows, two duvets/comforters). Towels provided if needed. - Guests get keys to their apartment and the front door - Cleaning not included, but can be arranged with our caretaker. - Part of the outside space is sometimes used in the morning for one-on-one language lessons but we always let guests know in advance.
