However at Longview Villa 300ft above sea level with a good constant breeze thanks to the constant North easterly Trade winds of 5 -10 mph that come from the Southerly side of the island through the dip in the hill of the island and across the house which is situated on a knoll. Bugs do not like this, they get blown down wind to Belmont! Also our house is protected By two 1/2 acre outside Dynatraps and every room has a smaller Dynatrap. This provides the very best defense against insects. We recommend regular insect repellant spraying and keeping insect spray around. Keeping doors and windows closed with mesh screens is essential . Special care needs to be taken on the beach and other areas on island so remember the bug spray. Other wild life though on BVI is prolific being a tropical island and to be enjoyed, the Gekos are numerous ! Note maximum guests is 8. Bedroom 3 is either king or two singles not both. If you wish to rent a bare boat or sailing boat this can easily be arranged. Boating around the islands is easy and fun. Lots of other water sports are on offer. There are also lots of ferries to the islands. While no public transport, everyone gives each other lifts it is the way of the island. A car 4x4 is essential as taxis are expensive on the island, we use Jerrys Car rental or Enterprise at airport or Road Town. Do not have a van - roads are steep in BVI.
