Cozy up in this private, one-bedroom, centrally located, upper apartment. Unique, peaceful, and affordable - Daniel’s Place is 3 blocks from the Riverlife walking path, leading directly to downtown, and 3 miles away from Granite Peak Ski Resort. Daniel’s Place is the perfect spot for weekend ski trips, city biking, trying local restaurants, farmers markets, kayaking, and exploring the city of Wausau. Come make yourself at home 🙂 The home you’re staying in was built in 1920. The upstairs was converted to 650 square foot apartment in the 1980’s. The rooms are on the smaller side. The kitchen is a bit outdated. Truth be told, there are certainly some imperfections. That being said, it is cozy, clean, comfortable, and best of all, affordable! If you’re reading this, please be kind and considerate when it comes to ratings (Airbnb puts a lot of value in them for hosts). I will do my best to accommodate any requests within my power! You have access to the whole apartment other than: - bathroom closet - hallway closet - bedroom closet - kitchen closet I am more than happy to help with anything you may need. I am a school teacher, so on weekdays I’m at work til around 4pm. But I will respond as soon as possible if you need something. The neighborhood is one of the oldest in the city, and is quite safe! Admittedly, it could not be described at the most fancy neighborhood as many of the old homes (such as the one you’re staying in) were turned into apartments. The location is incredibly convenient, but you may hear the sounds of the city during your stay. It is a very short walk to the downtown if you feel like exploring. The neighborhood is rather safe, and parking is plentiful. If you walk west on Thomas st, across the bridge, there is a path that leads to the downtown area and the Riverlife Park. The path goes through Oak Island Park, past The Isle of Ferns Park, past the farmers market (in summer), past the Whitewater Rafting Park (summer), and follows the water for approximately 3 miles. It’s a great way to access some of the best downtown restaurants and busy bars. There is a small closet off the living room that has an extra sleeping space if needed. (Full size futon mattress with sheets, comforter, pillows, and extra blanket) The apartment is on the second story, so you will need to walk up a handful of stairs. The thermostat is located downstairs, but don’t hesitate to request a temperature adjustment if desired.
