The stovetop & refrigerator allows you to buy a few groceries and make yourself some simple meals if you don’t feel like going out. Mama Lola’s is located on the ocean. It is in a very quiet, safe neighbourhood. It is located approximately 1/2 kilometre from the main road. It is serviced by taxi but because it’s a little out of the way the cost is around 120 cordobas for 2 people. There are a couple of small stores and a local restaurant within walking distance. The island offers scooter and golf cart rentals to make it easier to get around. The water temperature here is always around 80 F. If the sea is calm there is a nice beach about a 20 second walk behind the house. If rough, best swimming spot is about a 4 minute walk along the beach. Snorkelling is OK around the house, you will see fish. Best spots require a boat trip.
