Welcome to South Beach Southside Cottage! This 1-bedroom oceanfront cottage is situated just above a stunning, mile-long stretch of pink sand beach along Banks Road, Governor’s Harbour, well known for its impressive and affluent residences. The charming, stand-alone cottage is situated in front of the main house on South Beach Estate (not rented). Availability is subject to when the owner is not in residence. Both cottages can be rented together for couples and singles travelling together. South Beach Soutside Cottage is complete with a full kitchen, and an open-plan living and dining room. Kitchen appliances include a glass-topped electric range and oven, full-size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, and electric kettle. There is a SMART TV in the living room, and it is also equipped with DIRECT TV. Retractable, sliding glass doors with screens open onto a small, private patio, and then to the stairs leading down to the beach. The master bedroom contains a King bed, and an en-suite bathroom with double vanities. For parents travelling with infants and young toddlers, the property managers can arrange for a traveler crib/pack n’ play and high chair for your convenience (please specify on booking). There are high-efficiency ACs in every room, and complimentary high speed WiFi is included. Beach towels, beach chairs, an umbrella, and a cooler bag are provided for beach days. A propane BBQ is available for guests’ use, and numerous sun loungers and chairs around the pool deck offer a lovely outdoor space for relaxing. The pool may, or may not, be shared during your stay: It will only be with the other cottage if it is also rented. The main house will be closed and unoccupied during your stay. The tropical garden and pool deck area are completely available for guests. We live on island, only about 5 minutes drive from South Beach Estate. We are professional property managers and always available to assist should you need us, but do like to give our guests the privacy they deserve on holiday. The property is situated between Tippy's and La Bougainvillea on the Banks Road. Both are popular eateries with guests, and only about 2 minutes by car in either direction. The town of Governors Harbour is only a 5 minute drive from South Beach estate and has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. Friday Night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour, is a weekly street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street until late! The island of Eleuthera is famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. The snorkeling, diving, and fishing on the island are world class. Boating, surfing, and other water sports are also popular. There is excellent sightseeing as well. Eleuthera has vast caves, cliffs, a bottomless ocean hole, many unique beaches, historic churches and 19th century homes, and small villages to explore. Personal laundry services (up to 2 loads) are provided during a 1 week stay. Please inquire on booking. We may be able to provide a small, roll away for a 3rd guest at an additional cost of $50 per day. There is no charge for infants under 2 years of age.
