Walk on our trails amid hundreds of young fruit trees, and eat greens from our organic garden beds. Dip your toes in the creek at the bottom of the property under the rainforest canopy. Our home in the jungle paradise of Costa Rica looks over pristine Lake Arenal. Our natural and peaceful home is on 4 acres of an organic orchard. We have trails, lots of edible plants, fruits and vegetables. The house is detailed with beautiful hardwood Guanacaste doors, cabinets, closet and barn doors. Our kitchen is fully-equipped with top-of-the-line appliances. The bedroom offers the best sleep on our king bed. Our large walk-in shower has a rainfall head and shower wand. With wide corridors and accessible shower & toilet, the home is designed to be accessible for all abilities. Sliding glass doors open onto a private patio with a chaise lounge. Perfect for morning coffee with toucans and monkeys, and gorgeous evening sunsets overlooking our land and the lake. Enjoy our games, books and art supplies as you relax inspired by the natural beauty of the jungle. The driveway is steep and rocky. Many drivers get their vehicles stuck rent a 4-wheel drive car to navigate the roads. The apartment is downstairs, accessible via the left side of the building as you face the lake. We live upstairs - this is our private area. We sometimes travel or are in the US. Otherwise, we live here with our baby. We can share airspace so can hear one anothers’ activities. Because we are quiet and calm, mellow activities are appreciated. If you need assistance, we are happy to provide help, information and tips. Please read the guide first, however, as almost everything you need to know is contained there. Contact us via message please if you need further guidance. Our housekeeper comes most days to help us (upstairs). Message me if you would like her help with something. Our gardener works 7am-3pm Monday-Friday. You may see him around but he keeps to himself. Both speak only Spanish. Lake Arenal has many restaurants, activities and attractions. The Arenal canopy tour, hanging bridges, chocolate tour, and the Arenal volcano are about 30-45 minutes driving from our place. Nuevo Arenal is the closest area for eating, shopping, walking about 20 minutes away. La Fortuna is the nearest city about 45 minutes away with more diversity in cuisine, shopping and activities. You can also stay close to home (several guests tell us that because the view and space were so nice, they preferred staying at home during their trip!). La Mansion's Bistro Restaurant, a guided kayak excursion, Captain Ron's fishing boat tour, guided horseback-riding, and more. Take a fabulous walk through our farm to enjoy the fresh food, flowers, trees and the view! An absolute must to get around here is renting a 4-wheel drive car. Our road and driveway are steep and rocky and small cars occasionally can struggle. Shuttles and taxis are also available - request for info.
