A couple of the most common are mosquitos and noseeums. Noseeums are very very tiny (hence the name) flying bugs that bite, often called sand flies, but are in fact not the same. They are found in all parts of the island, but are most common near beaches, and during times of rain and lack of wind. They can fly into properties located on the beach, or can be brought in with items used on the beach. If visiting the islands beaches in the late afternoon you will want to bring bug spray along. TIPS TO HELP PREVENT BUGS IN YOUR ROOM: 1. After the beach, always hang beach towels/gear on outdoor balconies. 2. After the beach, always shower before laying in bed, sitting on furniture. 3.
