Very happy to offer you a clean and comfortable private suite in my house :) Driving? I do offer free on and off street parking. Without a car? The house is close to restaurants, a grocery store, public transport, and there is even a river with a footpath just behind the house. Like to cook? You have full access to the kitchen. Like to socialize? The kitchen and living room set up is an inviting space for fellowship. Want privacy? The suite with locks and key is secure. Conveniently located in a safe and desirable neighborhood near Tufts University, at the border with Cambridge and Somerville. A few minutes’ walk from a supermarket, restaurants, Bluebikes, and public transport. It is a short walk from 3 bus lines to Davis Square red line subway (T) in 4-5 mins. T takes you to Harvard (6 min), Kendall/MIT (12 min), and Boston Downtown (15 min). You can find bars, restaurants, a movie theater, and independent shops in Davis Square, which is a highly coveted area popular with college students and young professionals. The guest suite is on the 1st floor, accessible from the kitchen. There is a lock and key for the door off of the kitchen. There is also a separate entrance with a keypad lock. You can access that entrance after you check in from the front door. You have a bedroom with a double bed, a private bathroom, and your own sunroom. Towels, Kleenex, and lotion are in the bedroom. Please note that the bedroom was converted from a living room thus the fireplace and added on closet area. Although renovated, this is an older house with thin walls. Please be mindful about noise during the night. I pride myself for cleanness and attention to detail. There is a designated person cleaning the house everyday. Guests can access most of the house and all the exterior: this suite, living room, kitchen, brick fenced in front yard, front and back patios with outdoor furniture, washer/dryer for guests staying 3 days and above, and driveway space for up to 4 or 5 cars. Kitchen is fully equipped and stocked. Cooking and cleaning utensils and supplies, a universal travel adapter, glasses, mugs, dishes, silverware, paper towels, dish soap, sponge, coffee, tea, cream, sugar, and Sweet’N Low are provided. Please note that the dish washer works and can be run when necessary but I normally store cooking utensils in it. Please wash dishes and put them in the dishwasher to dry and put them away when convenient. There is a TV in the living room, and free high speed WiFi throughout. I have been blessed with wonderful guests with whom I build lasting friendships :) I live in a separate unit in the same house and am always happy to see you, but will otherwise respect your privacy. Self check-in from the front door with a keypad lock and the code will be sent to you before you arrive. Early check in and later checkout available upon request. I am very prompt communicating both on Airbnb and in person. This neighborhood is very green and you can hear many different kinds of bird songs. There are lush trees and plants all around. At the back of the house there is a bike path perfect for running, and it takes only a few minutes to walk to the nearest bus stop - which is right by the supermarket. The bus takes you quickly to Davis Square where you can either enjoy cafe and restaurant life, or take the subway into Cambridge and downtown Boston. The Boston area public transportation system is known as the T, short for Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority. It’s a short walk from 3 bus lines to Davis Square red line subway in 4-5 mins. The T takes you to Harvard (6 min), MIT (12 min) and Boston Downtown (15 min). You can also go to Harvard directly by bus 77. Door to door in about 25 minutes. If you are driving here, I do have a driveway which is available for guests. There is also free street parking 7am-1am, 18 hours a day, no permit needed. An iron, ironing board, and a hairdryer are in the closet next to the 2nd floor bathroom. Kindly take off your shoes at the entrance. Please bring your own food and store it in boxes inside and out of the fridge. The boxes and a shelf in the fridge are marked with your room number. Quiet hours after 9 pm. Please do your laundry before that. I am happy to provide laundry detergent and dryer sheets but appreciate it if you bring your own.
