It's proximity to central Antigua is perfect: you're close enough to walk to everything in 10 minutes but far enough away to escape the noise. You'll awake to birds chirping instead of the sound of cars bumping over cobblestone streets. It's also wonderful to have such easy access to the pool (which is hardly ever used) and the grassy open space. You can invite your friends over to swim or host a party in the grassy area in front of our house. The security men provide tables and chairs to seat a large group, at no extra cost. The three bedrooms and two full baths are upstairs, while the living/kitchen/dining area are on the first floor. A patio with tables and chairs is also available to enjoy coffee/wine and meals! While the house is not large, it is very comfortable! Our in-country property manager is available to provide keys and handle emergencies during your visit. Otherwise, a very informational Welcome Book is at the house and I am available by email to answer most questions you might have. La Antigua Guatemala was the colonial Spanish capital of Central America. It is a World Heritage site, and is perhaps the most popular tourist destination in Guatemala. Antigua is very compact and easy to walk around. Most tourist destinations are in an 8-by-8 block area less than 1 km across. You can walk across it in 15 min. Our home is about a 10 minute walk from the central square in Antigua. Public transportation is rarely needed in Antigua because it is so walkable. But tuk-tuks are available on our street to take you anywhere in Antigua and there are also buses near by going in and out of Antigua. Our home is directly across from the two swimming pools in the community of 40 townhomes. One pool for adults, and the other a great kiddie pool! The pools are seldom used but we request that you have no late or loud parties at the pools out of respect for neighbors.
