Popoyo Casitas-Casita del Mar is a beautiful new 1 br house 200m (3min walk) from the Guasacate beach. The beds are set up separately or as a king. The futon opens up to a full size bed. The house has a full kitchen, hot water, AC (optional), smart TVs, ceiling fans, safe, patio with large yard, outdoor shower & plenty of space to relax & play. Lots of park space. You are right next door to the area’s best restaurants & hangouts, & you can enjoy total independence you wouldn’t have in a hotel. This is a secluded house with all the modern amenities where you can hear the waves & watch tropical birds from your doorstep. It is just steps from the Guasacate beach. The interior features high-arching ceilings with wood-beams, classic flooring, and custom-crafted wood furnishings that complete the traditional Nica charm of the casita. There is a fully equipped kitchen that provides an option for cooking your own meals if you choose not to dine out. The windows allow for the ocean breeze to cool the unit all year round without the need for AC (however, it is available as an option). There are two twin beds that can be arranged as a king, plus a twin size roll-away bed available in the bedroom. In the living room, there is a futon that opens up into a single/full size bed. The exterior features an outdoor seating area, hammock, chairs, surfboard rack, and an outdoor shower. Laundry: For long term rentals (over 2 weeks) there is a $10 per week fee for washing sheets and towels. Personal items can be washed for $10 per load up to 13kg. Laundry fees paid to the property manager in cash or we can send a payment request on Airbnb. This area has some of the best waves in Central America, 300 days a year of offshore winds, 10 great breaks nearby, mesmerizing sunsets, turtle beach, surf casting, culture and kind people, a great trip is waiting for those who travel to the end of the road. The house is located next to one of the best restaurants in town. There are also several other restaurants close by. There are natural tide pools just a short walk down the beach. There are also natural hot springs that are about a ten minute drive from the house. Magnific Rock is a beautiful rock formation along the beach about ten minutes from the house. Surfing- Nicaragua has some of the most consistent waves in the world. With offshore winds blowing over 300 days a year Nicaragua is one of the most ideal surf trips. The house is close to some of the best waves in the world: Playgrounds, Lance’s Left, Astillero, Popoyo, Guasacate beach breaks, Playa Santana, Playa Rosada. ATM-Closest ATM is located in La Jolla about 10 min. drive from the house Essentials-There are two mini markets about a kilometer from the house where you can purchase fresh organic fruits and vegetables and a variety of groceries. Additionally, there is a local produce truck that comes daily near the property. We will provide drinking water for the first couple of days of your stay. If you need more, please get a refill at the local market or from the water delivery truck. There is a regional airport (ECI - Costa Esmeralda Int'l Airport) that is 15 minutes from the property with daily scheduled flights from Liberia & San Jose, CR, as well as charter flights from Managua (MGA). The drive from MGA is approximately 2.5 hours and a driver can be arranged if needed. Car: recommended 4X4 recommended June-October There are car rentals available about ten kilometers away. There are also motorcycle and scooter rentals in town that come equipped with surfboard racks. Daily shuttles are available to go to San Juan Del Sur and Rivas. Please do not place paper products in the toilet - use the provided basket! There is hot water in this unit, which is rare for Central America. AC is available for an additional charge. Some months are notably hotter than others so please plan accordingly if desiring AC (it must paid for at the beginning of the stay with the property manager - NO EXCEPTIONS)!! Food waste should not be discarded in the trash bin - it should be saved separately and will be used to feed local farm animals. If traveling by car, for your convenience, we recommend purchasing supplies (food, etc.) needed from Maxi Pali in Rivas before arriving in Popoyo.
