Welcome to our beautiful beachside studio, the Ledges. It’s located on over an acre of property in the rustic west of Bermuda. Take strolls on our country road to the local farm. The bus stop is steps away to take public transportation to Dockyard or to Hamilton. Or spend your days on the property at one of 2 private beaches. The Ledges studio is an architectural gem with exposed beamed ceilings, a cozy fireplace for chilly evenings, and a modern fully equipped kitchen. The studio has its own private, large upper deck for entertaining or relaxing where the sunsets are just stupendous!!! Airport pick-ups and island tours can be arranged through your host. The space was designed and decorated for me to live in, so it reflects my personal style and contains some of things that I love and treasure. I hope you’ll enjoy it too!! Guest have access to all of the grounds which include 2 private beaches, rustic Adirondack chairs for prime views & morning coffee, a swinging hammock under a shady tree for napping or reading with views of the sea, and our covered patio, just in case the sun is too hot. We live on the property and are available by phone or text. We love to make recommendations and ensure visitors to our home have the best time seeing the real Bermuda. We live in what is known as Somerset Village. It’s an established neighborhood with friendly neighbors. The Village itself has a few shops and restaurants, such as the Somerset Country Squire. Our house is located just a few minutes walk to St. James Anglican Church and also only a few minutes walk to a main bus line. Dockyard is 10 minutes away by bus. At Dockyard there is a marina, small shopping mall and restaurants and bars, including Snorkel Park which is a beachfront bar & entertainment complex. The bus stop is just a few steps outside the gate but the more adventurous may wish to rent a scooter or Twizy (2 seater mini-car). Scooter rentals are nearby or we can arrange to have them delivered to the house on your arrival. The Twizy’s are available from either the Hamilton or Southampton Princess Hotels via Current Vehicles and should be booked in advance to ensure availability. We have a lovely, large dog, Bala. She loves to meet new people and enjoys being an AirBnB hostess.
