A freestanding cabin, our spacious Green Room has 2 double beds, air conditioning, minibar, wall fan, mosquito nets, and ensuite bathroom. It features a large private verandah with lounge, coffee table, dining table, and hammock overlooking the mango, banana and avocado trees. The huge garden also features exotic plants, herbs and vegetables. This secluded B&B/casa particular is just 10 minutes walk from the historical centre. Relax, read, sip on a mango daiquiri and enjoy the tranquility. We have 2 rooms for rent and offer breakfast and dinner and beverages. Frequently the ingredients we use are from our home grown produce. There is secure off street parking for 3 cars. Your hosts are Ossiel, a local musician, artisan and keen fisherman and his wife Fiona, an Australian now resident in Cuba, who has travelled extensively in Cuba, and other parts of the world and enjoys hiking and horse riding. Between us we speak Spanish, English and Italian. Meals are served on the main verandah or in the patio. There is outdoor furniture and hammocks for guest use. The large garden, almost a hectare, is a wonderful place to explore and includes a swing for young children and a basketball ring. We are always happy to assist with advice and directions to all the attractions that Trinidad and its surrounds has to offer, make restaurant reservations or book taxi's and salsa classes. Ossiel, a talented singer/guitarist will serenade you over breakfast or dinner or offer to accompany you to his favourite fishing spots and Fiona enjoys sharing her knowledge of local history and the best hiking and horse riding trails. Drinks and meals are available made with fresh produce from our garden or locally sourced. It is a 10 -15 minute walk to the historical centre with its wide variety of restaurants, bars, music venues, shops, banks, tourist agencies and street markets. Nearby is the tourist train station and a taxi rank. Turn right outside our gate to get to the fishing village at La Boca Beach, a 4km drive, cycle or walk. Trinidad is best seen on foot however bicycle taxi's and taxis are available. There is a local double decker bus to Ancon Beach. We offer a full breakfast, snacks and dinner upon request, at moderate prices. Please notify us the day before. All dietary requirements can be catered for. We can also help with bookings for restaurants or Casas in other destinations, confirmations and taxi's and can provide snorkelling gear, beach towels. A same day washing service is also available. We are very happy to show you some of our favourite places in and around Trinidad. We have 4 dogs, a cat and chickens who love visitors. Whilst we do not have Wifi we can recommend that guests purchase a Cuban Sim Card before travelling from recargasacuba or ETECSA, the Cuban telco, works best with a VPN.
