Vibra Guesthouse is a peaceful oasis, steps from the beach and Popoyo, one of Nicaragua's most famous surf spots. The loft-style rooms with palm leaf roofs are for up to 5 people and have a living room, mezzanine and private bathroom. Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen and an outside terrace with hammocks. Perfect for friends, couples and small families. You will enter your apartment through a private entrance that leads you right into the spacious living room. The 5m/16ft high ceiling adds not only to the calm atmosphere of the place, but also enhances air flow and a pleasant temperature. Every part of the apartment is tastefully furnished with lots of attention to detail. Most items were build by local crafts men and artists and reclaimed wood has been used throughout the structure where possible. The comfortable sofa in the living room is the perfect place to nap after an early morning surf. The desk provides an area for productive hours, if necessary. The sofa and desk area can also be changed to three separate beds, so up to five people can stay in the apartment at a time. The staircase leads up to the second floor into a beautiful open bedroom, with a king size double bed that can also be turned into two separate beds. The private bathroom is attached to the living room on the ground floor. Again, lots of room, toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, moisturizer) and fresh towels will make you feel right at home. Since the idea of Vibra Guesthouse is to create a space where people can find peace and quiet, closely connected to the elements, we do not offer entertainment systems as TV or Netflix. We promise you will not miss them. Next to the best surf spots in Nicaragua, the area has plenty activities to offer. And for the occasional rainy hour, we provide complimentary WIFI. Right next to the apartment is the fully equipped kitchen, that is being shared with the second apartment. A fridge (incl. freezer), a stove and all standard utensils give the opportunity to enjoy a self-catered stay. Free drinking water is also available 24 hours a day. Outside the apartment awaits a shared patio that also functions as the eating area, with a view into the oasis like garden. Here, you can also find a hammock and hammock chair for an unparalleled chill out – the perfect setting to recharge for the next surf session. Next to the apartments is the reception desk. Our friendly staff will welcome and assist you wherever they can. We offer breakfast and dinner at affordable prices 7 days a week. Throughout the day cerveza, wine, cocktails, sodas and smoothies can be purchased as well. Because we know nothing beats an ice cold drink after your sun set surf session. Vibra staff members are available all day, cleaning service is provided daily. Playa Guasacate/Popoyo is every surfer’s dream come true. Popoyo is a world class wave that works like a machine. No matter the time of the year, no matter the tide - you will most likely catch good or fantastic waves here. That’s why Popoyo is often rated the best wave in Central America. There is a surf spot in walking distance from your door step, no matter if you are a beginner or experienced surfer. From the mellow long board wave at beginners bay to perfect double overhead barrels over shallow water at the outer reef. Also boat trips to other surf spots like Lance’s Left or Playground are available (charges apply). One thing is for sure - you will return from your surf session with a smile on your face. But there are a lot more than waves to be explored around the area. Walk 30 minutes down the beach and enjoy picture perfect tide pools. Take a sun set Yoga class at the Magnific Rock Hotel with the most stunning view. Go horse riding with the locals. Or just sun bathe on the white sand and don’t do anything except maybe read a book and sip on a cold drink. Nicaragua's South Pacific area is one of the most developed parts of the country. Close to Guasacate Beach there are many wonderful beaches where you can enjoy almost every activity connected with the sea: surf, fishing, boat trips, horse riding and chilling. Granada, Catarina and Masaya can easily be reached from Popoyo and are beautiful touristic areas full of folkloristic atmosphere and markets, perfect for shopping and for gastronomic tours. If you are interested in nature you can organize a tour to the unique island of Ometepe (2 hours from Guasacate), hike one of the several volcanos of the area or choose a lagoon or a river trip. Nicaragua has plenty of wild nature spots. Just ask us for any help and we will be happy to provide you all the information you need! The beauty of Playa Guasacate is how little it has been developed for tourism yet. A sleepy little village, where locals mix with visitors - still the real Nicaragua. This also means that not every product or service we crave is always available in walking distance. Shopping There are two mini markets only a few meters away from the guest house with a surprisingly good range of products. But if you are out for your favorite peanut butter, coffee or other treats, we would suggest you stop quickly at the supermarket in Rivas or Managua on your way here and stock up a little. ATMs/Cash There is no ATM in the village and it will not always be possible to pay with your card. It is a good idea to withdraw cash before arriving in Playa Guasacate. If cash is needed anyway, the local mini market offers a withdrawal services. Just be aware that a surcharge of 10% will apply. At Vibra Guesthouse all purchases can be paid by credit card with a 6% fee.
