VILLA ARAGON was built in 2012 with the idea of creating a comfortable and enjoyable space for our guests to relax & unwind. Great for families, working from home and wellness retreats. Inside the villa, a slide-away glass door separates the dining area from the garden and outdoor salt pool. The house features a fully equipped kitchen, formal dining table for six and a comfy living room with AC, a 42' flat smart TV, WiFi and puzzles. The modern, open floor layout constitutes an ideal venue for entertaining guests whether you are ordering pizza or creating your own Costa Rican-inspired culinary masterpiece. For your comfort, the villa offers three spacious bedrooms with an AC unit in each room, king size beds, closets, windows and ample sunlight. The master bedroom has an en-suite master bathroom that features an all-glass shower and a tub. The other two deluxe bedrooms share a hall bathroom. In total, the house can comfortably sleep 6 adults, but gives the option of adding a single bed in each bedroom, if the guest so wishes. The Villa has secure parking for up to 5 cars. The Villa is unique because it is one of the few places in the area with a beautiful private pool, making it the ideal spot for a romantic getaway, wellness retreat, friends or a family holiday. Puerto Viejo de Talamanca is located on the Costa Rican Caribbean coast, in the province of Limón. The town is surrounded by exotic flora and fauna and beaches with crystal clear waters, ideal for the enjoyment of nature or surf lovers. Puerto Viejo is the Rasta of the Caribbean. It is a small, laid back town with bustling outdoor recreational activities as well as an amazing restaurant night scene. The options are plentiful, so think carefully where you want to eat! Restaurants cater to all tastes and price points. Our favorite Restaurants are Monli, Cafe Viejo, Koki Beach, Madre Tierra, Spicey Coconut, Chaman for Caribbean food, and Bread & Chocolate, Bakery Degustibus and Cafe Rico for breakfast. There are also several shops in town, but our favorite one is Luluberlu with its unique style and inviting feel. The store was featured in Vogue Magazine in January 2019. This is a must-see when in Puerto Viejo, as is the Saturday morning farmers market, located behind Casa de la Cultura, where you can find an amazing array of organic produce and freshly made delights such as artisan breads, cakes and homemade chocolates. There are also plenty of outdoor activities to choose from. Surfing lessons and tours with our local guides is on the top of the list. Another easy and inexpensive activity is visiting the Cahuita National Park. The entrance fee is donation-based. So whether you want to enjoy your days lazing by the pool, or adventuring with our local guides, Puerto Viejo is a unique and charming place that epitomizes Costa Rica's Pura Vida philosophy. Puerto Viejo Center is only 5 min by car, 10 by bike, or 20 min by foot (a beautiful walk on the beach) from the villa. Visitors have several transportation options. We recommend renting a car at the San Jose airport, but there are also shared shuttles to and from the San Jose airport. There is also the option to hire a private driver. If sitting in a car for 4+ hours is not for you, then there is the option of flying with Sansa Air. Flights leave every day from the San Jose airport to Limon. Please notify the owners if you will be needing a receipt during the check-in.
