Welcome to Siso's place, a charming, cozy Guyanese midcentury 20th cottage. Named for my grandmother, who owned it from 974 till 2004, when she passed. Siso's place is located in the heart of Georgetown, in the Bourda neighborhood, walking distance to food markets, restaurants, financial and national and cultural resources. Our 2 bedroom wooden cottage was built in 1957, once designed to keep cool via breezes from the Atlantic coast, but now updated with AC and ample fans. Security cameras and iron grills on doors and windows offer safety and peace of mind. We have all the amenities you would need while away from your home. You can check yourself in via coded lockboxes. You will be greeted upon arrival and given an orientation to the neighborhood. You can communicate any concerns or questions via Airbnb message, or WhatApp text. The cottage is very centrally located, in walking distance to most popular areas of Georgetown ... 3 major markets are in walking distance. the neighborhood is a mixed residential and commercial area. Taxis and minibuses are plentiful, and very cheap! Two bicycles are available for guests (for both up and down stairs flat) Bourda is a very friendly, family-oriented urban neighborhood with a few businesses including a hotel. The property has recent modernization and comfort renovations: AC, hot and cold shower, electric stater gas stove and oven, washing machine, flat wall mounted TV and wifi.
