Large and spacious open setting with lots of windows and breezes. Perfect for a writing/creative retreat or a couple looking for the spot to be in love in Hawaii. It's the jungle part of the big island, so it's more for the adventurers, who want to hike, snorkel, see black sand beaches, etc..Merland (my house) is in a little subdivision called seaview, one hour south from Hilo, Hawaii. It's a very large open space with a nook where the bedroom is. (private large bathroom, of course). Totally private, clean, quiet, peaceful, great vibe. I have good internet, a land line (mobile phone's don't work here), washer/ dryer, full cooking kitchen, queen size comfortable bed, luxury linens and turkish bath towels. Large beautiful bathtub (shower as well) that looks out with a bay window on the back yard. Ohi trees, orchids, Tahitian gardenias, hibiscus, puakiniki trees, areca palms, red ginger surround the house .There are two decks (Lania's) one in the sun, one with a bench in the shade. Half an acre of landscaped land with beautiful wonderful smelling plants and flowers, coconut palms, royal palms, red sealing wax palms, bamboo, plumeria, lime trees, fig tree, Mango tree, Avocado tress...night blooming jasmine that smells so great. Lay in the hammock between two trees in the yard and wash away your cares. Many windows to look out at the millions of stars at night from every angle of the house and to wake up with the birds singing and the sun. Or to listen to the rain. So relaxing and good for the soul. It's near Volcano (which attracts millions of visitors a year), 4 minute drive to Kehena (black sand beach) only for the strong swimmers, so be careful! 2 hours drive to Kona. Half hour drive to Pahoa town (with some great restaurants and grocery stores. There are no resorts in this area. I have poured my heart into this land and house, I'm looking for clean, kind, non-smoking (cigarettes) people that are looking to have a life-changing experience in one of the most beautiful and wild places in the island of Hawaii. This is a totally private home, just for you. Private parking. And only a few neighbors that are quiet and respectful. You will have access to my property manager for any and all inquiries at any time. I will not be available in person, but I am a phone call away from my landline you will have full access to. My property manager is a 5 minute drive away and will be able to take care of any needs that arise. You will be taken care of. This neighborhood of seaview is an eclectic and aloha (welcoming) place. My part of it is sparsely populated, but I the neighbors I have are great and keep to themselves. It's a great neighborhood to take a walk down to view the ocean or just stroll around. You will most probably need your own car here. Although you can walk to the beach, you will need a car to properly explore this area and the island. And to go get food!
