The neighborhood is safe to walk around at anytime of day. There are many restaurants and stores at walking distance. Casa del Pintor restaurant and bar is very close. Arena Surf Cafe, only a couple of blocks away. Teresa's Tacos around the corner. Available only for dinner. Very good at very low prices. If arriving at the airport, the cheapest way to get to the apartment would be to cross the bridge for better taxi rates or Uber. Uber cannot pick you up at the airport.
