Our beachfront home is perfectly located between the main town (with its nightlife and daytime entertainment) to the north and an expansive stretch of beautiful hotels and delicious restaurants to the south. It's designed for perfect relaxation! The house is steps from the beach and was designed with privacy in mind. There is a large second-floor bedroom with a king bed, a private balcony, and a deck overlooking the ocean. This room is air conditioned and has its own full bathroom. Two of the bedrooms in the ground floor each have a king size bed and a single size bed, each with it's own full bathroom as well; these rooms also have A/C. The remaining two rooms on the ground floor have three sets of bunk beds (some with double size beds), and each room has its own full bathroom. There are no televisions in the rooms. There are three mingling areas. The main common area seamlessly connects to the open kitchen, dining area, and infinity pool. In addition, there is a separate smaller outdoor lounge. There is also a comfortable entertainment room with a flat screen television and DVD player; this room is air-conditioned. The kitchen comes fully equipped. We will open rooms according to the number of people in your group. All the common areas and kitchen will be fully available to you. This is our family beach home, we don't live in this house, so you likely won't interact with us during your stay. We will be available via phone and email during your stay, and we have people in the area who help us manage the property. Mancora is a well-known fishing town off the north coast of Peru. Over the years its become quite an international destination. The New York Times selected the north coast of Peru as one of their recommended places to visit in 2015! This region is a surfer's paradise. Aside from Mancora's magical point break, there are several well-known breaks nearby, including Organos, Cabo Blanco, and Lobitos. There are several bus services that take you to any of these breaks. If surfing is not your thing, a short walk from the house you can rent paddle boards, kayaks, or kite boards, or you can take surfing lessons. There are great whale watching tours, scuba diving or snorkeling expeditions, and even opportunities to dive with turtles nearby! There are many other outdoor experiences available in the area; let us know your interests and we will make specific recommendations to you. From the capital city of Lima we recommend you fly to Talara, Piura, or Tumbes, but preferably Talara (Lan airlines is the better option). We will arrange a pick up for you from any of these airports in our private van. From Talara it's only about a 45 minute drive to the house. You can also reach Mancora from Lima via bus or car, but we recommend flying. There is an outdoors Bose surround sound system that is controlled from the entertainment room. We have several movies on DVD available for guests. There is also plenty of desk space in the entertainment room, overlooking the ocean. Internet connection is included. Other amenities include a movable grill, a large surfboard rack, and a full laundry room. All bookings include full maid services that take care of house cleaning (including rooms) and also do the laundry for you. We also include a cook that prepares three meals per day (guests cover costs of ingredients). We also take care of keeping the pool perfectly clean during your stay. We don't expect you to spend time cleaning the house, but we do expect you to take care of the property as much as we do!
