Small, bright, studio bungalow in back of a family residence. It has a bedroom/living area with 1 king bed, night tables, ceiling fan, A/C, sheets and towels & a wardrobe closet. The small bathroom has a shower with hot water. The kitchen has a small stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, KitchenAid chopper, coffee maker, Oster blender, toaster, and dishes. The balcony overlooks colorful bougainvilleas and there is a table and 4 chairs. There is gated parking and free WiFi. ¡Bienvenidos! “Sol del cielo” (Sun of the Heaven) bungalow is centrally located within walking distance to the beach in Barra de Navidad, the local "barrio" where guests can find a variety of small restaurants, supermarkets, butchers and "tortillerías", or guests can walk into town to eat, shop or relax on the town’s "malecón" (boardwalk), or take a boat ride around the bay, or visit some of Costalegre’s beautiful beaches. Guests can also hire a captain with a boat to go snorkeling or fishing. In addition to the bungalow with its own balcony, guests have access to the backyard, carport parking with gated entrance, and "la bodega" 'outdoor closet' where cleaning supplies are accessible for those staying longer than one week. If you are planning on having more than two guests visit you during your stay, please send an email to let us know. No parties please! Depending on the time of year, we may be available in person to attend to our guests. If not, then our representatives in Barra will greet you and check you in. They will give you the keys, and answer any questions that you may have in order to make your stay at "Sol del cielo" enjoyable! You can also grab a taxi or a bus to get around. Tacos, enchiladas and groceries, including “cerveza”, are a short walk away in the "barrio" (local village). Or you can walk to “el centro” de Barra for more options, including lunch or dinner overlooking the laguna or the ocean. Most guests enjoy meandering down the main street in 'el centro' looking in the local shops, choosing an enticing place to eat, joining the locals on the 'malecón' (the boardwalk), or walking on the beach. The neighboring towns of San Patricio-Melaque and Obregón offer shops, restaurants and a vibrant beach scene. You can easily walk to the "barrio" or to downtown Barra. You can grab a bus, a taxi or an "(h)ubercito" easily within walking distance as well. Guests often prefer to rent bicycles to get around town. And you have the option of taking a small boat to many of the area beaches or restaurants. Depending on the season, we may be living in the main house while you are vacationing in the bungalow. No worries though-there is plenty of outdoor space to share.
