This beautiful home is located 17 Km NW of El Chalten in Los Huemules, Patagonia a natural reserve facing Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. Aoni Yenu, "Southern Friend", is a lovely Patagonia home of 2700 sf nestled between two Andes peaks. Step through the foyer into a large great room with open beamed ceilings, a large hearth and floor to ceiling windows looking out at the Andes. The kitchen, which faces a glacier, opens to the great room and dining table which seats eight. Features include a master bedroom with a king size bed and a master bath with a Jacuzzi bathtub. Two adjacent bedrooms with two twin beds in each share a bathroom across the hall. At the back of the house is a large "quincho" or barbecue area with beautiful views and a ping-pong table that turns into a family style eating area. There is also a back bedroom with a twin bed and bathroom and an utility room The house is located in Estancia Los Huemules, 17 Km (approx 11 miles) northwest of El Chalten in Patagonia. Upon arrival, the house manager will meet guests in town (El Chalten), escort you to the house and conduct a house tour. The ranger at the visitor center at Los Huemules will provide trail maps and additional information about the reserve. The house manager will meet guests in El Chalten and provide any necessary assistance which can be pre arranged in advance (horseback ridding, fly fishing, etc.) The nearby trails are well-marked and can be accessed directly from the house. Horseback riding nearby can be arranged by the house manager. You'll need a car to get to the house. There are no busses or taxi's from El Chalten to the Estancia Relax and get back to nature - "off the grid" - no TV, no phone, no WiFi.
