This spacious two bedroom, two bath, downstairs apartment is one of the five spaces listed. It is cool, private and has a view of lush vegetation and tropical fruit trees and flowers, giving it a countryside feel. The side balcony opens up to a small plunge pool ideal for kids or perhaps for couples on hot days and restless nights. Outdoor seating grace the front yard. A welcome addition to soak up some sun or just to relax under the moonlight as it can be seen rising in the Eastern sky. The space can be leased as a one bedroom one bath home for guests who are comfortable with this arrangement. However it can also open up to an ajoining bed and bath with its separate entrance . This extra bedroom can be fitted with a double bed or a bunk bed for guests who prefer separate sleeping arrangements. The apartment comfortably sleeps up to six guests. Guests can access the upstairs balcony and patio. A small plunge pool which opens up in the downstairs balcony is a relaxing getaway for occupants of the Friends and Family Cottage. I enjoy socializing with my guests. I can be reached for afternoon tea, Breakfast, dinner, a ride to the city or even a tour of the island. I enjoy living here because really it is where I grew up. I have very fond memories of a closely knit community which somehow I feel compelled to save and nurture. There is a very reliable bus system right off the parking lot. It runs from 7:00 am to 11:00 am and again from 2:30 pm to 9:00pm , Monday to Saturday. This bus goes to and from the city centre. Sundays and after hours, you can request a ride from the host for a much reduced taxi fare. The larger of the two bedrooms accommodates up to four guests and is equipped with an air-conditioner and an on-site spacious bathroom. The smaller bedroom is available to an extra two guests if paid for. It has a double bed and a standing fan, also with an on-site bathroom. Both bathrooms have hot water. Always keep your host informed of your plans when leaving the property. I am extremely concerned about the wellbeing of my guests. For safety reasons it is wise to tell your host of your whereabouts. The home is located in the city and cities are full of activities and a variety of personalities. Like in all other cities, it is always wiser and safer to use the bus system or the taxi service especially after hours. If ever you feel stranded or lost, call your host first.
