After living in cities like New York and Rome, we found the ideal place to relax! A spacious, comfortable, and relaxing atmosphere in the heart of a lush Caribbean resort: 20 minutes from Santo Domingo’s international airport, this tastefully equipped fully furnished penthouse offers something for golf players and beach lovers alike. Very bright and with high ceilings, the apartment is stylishly decorated with Italian designer furniture. The apartment has cable and plasma TV, DVD player, internet access, air-conditioning and ceiling fans in all rooms, a large terrace with dining area, sun deck and private jacuzzi accommodating 6 persons. Each bedroom has a full en-suite bathroom. Cleaning services and laundry are included. Cooking and babysitting services are available upon request. Three bicycles and parking space for two vehicles come with the apartment. Located within a small friendly compound with a swimming pool, residents are free to use the Guavaberry Golf and Country Club facilities. These include an 18 hole golf course designed by Gary Player, tennis courts, polo course and equestrian centre as well as a private white sand beach in Juan Dolio. Perfect for families, couples or a group of friends. The place is very well connected with a doctor’s clinic, pharmacy, and super market 5 minutes away by car. Surrounded by exotic birds and wildlife, you can benefit from the peace, quiet and safety of a gated community and also savour the local flavours of beach clubs and restaurants nearby in the Juan Dolio area. Santo Domingo is only a car ride away and there are several local cultural attractions nearby such as San Pedro de Macoris known for its colonial architecture and world-famous baseball players. Our guests have access to: - A full time maid and cleaning services at no extra cost. Cooking services available at request. - two terraces: one equipped with a jacuzzi for 6 people and the other with a handwoven hammock for two. - An outdoor swimming pool and a barbecue - Two car parking spaces and three bicycles - an 18 holes golf course and discounted tee time fees - a private beach club in Juan Dolio (the beach club is about 7 minutes by car). - AC, ceiling fans and WiFi in all rooms and terraces - insect protection screens and automatically operated anti huracán shutters - different sets of towels for all bath rooms, the jacuzzi, pool and beach - Washing machine and dryer. Our aim is that our guests have a wonderful experience in our home. I provide both my email and telephone for easy communication. Before arrival, I also provide a guest information note with directions, important telephone numbers, description of nearby services and amenities, etc. The location of the penthouse makes it possible to spend a day at the beach or in a big city! There are also plenty of shorter trips to be made in the area. For instance, the Cuevas de las Maravillas (The Wonder Caves with Taino Indians Carves) is only 20 min away by car and makes for a great excursion for adults and children. In Juan Dolio it is nice to spend the day at the Octopus Bay Restaurant where one can enjoy the wonderful beach and eat delicious food. Santo Domingo as well as La Romana are only one hour away. Samana, with its beautiful beaches and whale watching sites is less than two hours away and so is Punta Cana. One of our favorite day trips is to Bayahive beach and Saona Island with one of the most beautiful beaches of the DR. Another favorite is Boca Marina Restaurant in Boca Chica, known for its fish and lobster, at an excellent beach setting. In Boca Chica you also find Neptuno’s Club Restaurant, which is built on a pier in the sea and also specialized in sea food and lobster. The best way to get around is by car. We have two parking places for our guests. We recommend car rental at the airport. But if you do not want to drive, we have a very reliable taxi driver who can pick you up at the airport and drive you around during your stay. Within the Guavaberry compound it is better to use bicycles as one can bike around the golf course and appreciate the natural reserve's bird life and nature. We have three bycicles for your use. We offer a welcome meal to give guests a taste of dominican cuisine, we also provide fruits and some basic groceries to get started. We recommend car rental at the airport. However, If you do not wish to rent a car we have a very reliable taxi driver that can pick you up at the airport and assist you during your stay.
